Yeah, pretty much just try and find a server Netflix or whatever streaming service you’re using doesn’t think is from a vpn. But I wouldn’t use ipvanish, they lied about being no logs in the past, I wouldn’t trust them.

I chose IPVanish over NordVPN because the later required me to upload a photo of my passport (to a third party) when paying! Who does that?!

Back in the torrent game after 10+ years, need advice!

 They have more features that IPVanish did, Secure Core and Netshield. I can't recall the specifics of it all, but it is listed on their site. So far, my service with them is faster, but I have read complaints about their service that I have not experienced. They do have a free version that doesn't have all the bells and whistles

If you are interested in browsing privately and anonymously, I would recommend setting up an alternate "VPN Use Only" browser that you only use while on the VPN. Firefox works very well for this, but you can use other browsers. Under that browser's "Proxy" settings, select a Manual Proxy configuration. For the SOCKS Host, use [10

For qB, it's a similar test. Connect to the VPN and see that you can torrent. Then, while torrenting, disable the VPN and watch your torrent download speeds drop down to zero and stay there.

 Also in Firefox, make absolutely sure you **disable** "Enable DNS over HTTPS", or you'll be scratching your head on why you don't seem to be able to connect to the internet.

Enabling Split Tunnelling for Spotify should work, right? A month or two ago I think this *did* work, but is not working any longer.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t go with either…I had ExpressVPN and recently switched to Mullvad VPN (this communities favourite) and to be honest I wouldn’t turn back. It’s £5 per month so cheaper then Express VPN and it’s just as fast if not faster to Torrent, plus it’s far more transparent on its privacy policies. So yeah, I’d go with that.

My wife decided that we needed a sub for Norton 360 and while I am happy with ExpressVPN (other than paying for it) I did notice that Norton VPN comes with the subscription she got. Is Norton any good for torrenting or should I stick with ExpressVPN?

The security is also very high by my opinion as customer. No leaks, no personal data exposed. I heard and read many opinions related to Sweden and the Eyes alliance but Mullvad had such operative work that even if the authorities  wants records, the VPN have noting. I was amazed by the fact that they do not want your personal data for activation

Talking about Express and others, Mullvad have the best speed during my personal experience. (I tried paid subscription to Ghost, Express, ProtonVPN and Nord.)
