 Welcome to A View To A Grill, I'm Johnny and today we're going to be talking about the Inkbird iBBQ4T Wi-Fi Thermometer. In my other videos you'll see that I already use the Inkbird iBT4XS Thermometer and I absolutely think that the iBT4XS is the best thermometer out there for the money that you give for it. Today we're going to be unboxing and setting up the iBBQ4T. First thing out of the box is the iBBQ4T main unit and then there's a smaller box with more stuff in it

 There are four spaces for thermometer probes. Each one of these have a watertight plug just to keep the moisture out of the main unit and on the bottom there are four little grip pads. On the top you'll find the port for your recharging cord and that also has a rubber plug to help prevent moisture from going in the top. The two grate clips have these holes for different sizes of thermometer probes

 Now once it found my device there was no temperature reading but all I had to do was plug in a thermometer and as you can see it has picked up the temperature in celsius. To fix that all you have to do is go to settings and then touch the temperature unit toggle. Now I checked back at a few minutes and they were both right close to each other, so extremely accurate and it's providing the same temps as my smoker probe, which is exactly what I was looking for. But for a professional-grade thermometer, it is tough to beat both the speed and functionality of the Lavatools Javelin PRO Duo, especially for left-handed chefs.

It was fast and accurate and had a large handle that kept us safely away from the heat; the handle was slightly slicker and less roomy than we'd like but better than those of most models we tested. The big, clear display rotates two ways, and the long probe worked great at various angles. It turned on automatically when we opened the probe and turned off when we closed it. I got a Lavatools Javelin PRO Duo when the Thermapen Mk4 was sold out a while ago. I would absolutely recommend either one of them. It's like Staub (Javelin Pro Duo) vs Le Creuset (Mk4). Both are amazing!

Every meat thermometer I get either straight up breaks or doesn’t seem to accurately take temps

 I expect temperature readings within cooking temperatures to be slightly more accurate. Now, I will have to wait and see how long this one will last. I bought a much cheaper one that quit working after a few years of use.

Easy to you and read

 I was dubious about the probe shape since you have to hold it to use it, i.e., you can't set it down. But it responds so fast and the think probe makes it so useful to put sideways into, say, a burger, that I am now sold on it
