I like a lot of things about this backpack; the size, the sleekness, and the padding. But I don’t like the smaller compartments. Not quite big enough to put my Ti-84 plus CE calculator, the laptop compartment isn’t quite big enough for my Legion 5 pro (which is a 16-inch screen but is 17 in overall dimensions) the water bottle compartment is super cool but is pretty tight on my 32oz Nalgene. The nonscratch compartment is a little finicky to open, and the accessory compartment only has one zipper pull

the expandable zip starts and ends on the bottom of the bag. To me, the start and end of the zip is the weakest part of the bag, and the expandable zip seems to be a less robust zipper than the other compartments. I feel a bit concerned that \*that\* is the part of the zipper that will constantly be in contact with the ground. The other design flaw is that the deeper clothes storage part of the bag faces downwards (towards your back) as opposed to frontwards (the front compartment)

The "easy access" pocket is roomy and seems to be waterproof. The Front pocket has more than ample space to segregate gear from the padded main compartment and is easy to reach. It has one zipper here where the main compartment has dual zippers. I would prefer to see dual zippers on all compartments for easy of entry/ use/ closure

I recently went to China where I had to go from Hong Kong to mainland China (via train) and then back again. My roller suitcase was too much of a hassle. I needed to find one bag that could hold my laptop and business items as well as a few days of clothes. I purchased the EO as I saw it had a collapsible compartment designated for clothing as well as compression straps to literally change the size of the backpack

Overall, it is a good looking, functional commuter bag with innovative features and the ability to pack enough to hit the crag or trail right after work that was more secure feeling than my messenger bag I usually use. I like it but there are other bags I'd probably use before this.

The laptop compartment holds my 13 inch macbook pro fine, and I'm sure the 15 inch would fit with more than enough space as well. I also have some notebooks, and papers in that pocket as well with no problem. The lining definitely feels premium, and though not extremely padded on the bottom, I'm sure your laptop would be fine, lest you slam the bag on the ground. The amount of organization is just enough for me, with a few pen holders, and larger pockets to allow for flexibility

But Osprey doesn’t excel in laptop back packs. While I had no problem packing my laptop and its accessories, the backpack became limited when I wanted to add other stuff. As I packed the main compartment with the majority of my stuff, the other compartments became useless. It’s like the other pockets are sharing space with the main compartment instead of having their own space

All the good things you've read here, but the inability to secure the shoulder straps when not using it as a backpack makes it a snagging hazard par excellence and annoys me every time I pick it up. Stupid design oversight.

The main straps are well padded and adjustable. They have a top strap and a lower strap for comfort and security. The zippers are all well quality and have a material flap over the top so it should keep anything inside pretty dry.

I can fit my 15" MBP and its charger, a slim book, a traveler's notebook and a kindle in it. 7. Love the handles. Very comfortable
