 If your computer can handle the frames these would be better for FPS. FOV(139° diagonal) is fine, better than Quest 2 but worse than Vive Pro 2 or the Valve Index. The screen resolution is fine, I don't really notice the resolution unless I try to watch videos in the headset. Videos on my 1080p monitor look better than they do in VR

The headset is fine, probably not worth MSRP though.

 Headset and worthy upgrade to the original vibe, and also a nice step up from all the previous HTC vive devices. It is almost certainly the best option to buy. Currently, I'd recommend this over the standard vive cosmos, despite the hefty price tag that comes with it hope you found this video useful. You also know there's a power jack that you required to plug in power here

 You can also mount them on a tripod as I'm doing here, which is very simple or you could just balance them precariously on bookshelves or speakers or whatever you happen to have that works for you, and I've managed to do it with all sorts of different ways. Here, I've done it in my office with a tripod, but in the living room I balanced on top of a speaker and a bookshelf, and that wasn't a problem at all. You can do it it's much the same way as the original vive setup. These need to be plugged into the mains, but they don't need to be plugged into your PC, which is certainly a bonus and fairly easy

HTC Vive Cosmos Elite review: The device the Cosmos should have been the first time...

 They both have smaller fov than your index. The vive pro has better black levels, worse res (can actually see the screendoor and little smudgy) and closed strap(stays in place easier but hotter), vive cosmos elite has sharper resolution (screendoor about same as index) and open halo strap (easier to flip on off, not as stable if your head doesnt fit but much cooler due to air coming from free bottom.

I've done it! A seemingly viable HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2 converter that works, for those of us on laptops trying to run a Vive Cosmos or Rift S for portability, but with only an HDMI port to GPU.

I'll update with more details as I test. I was using an MSI GE63VR-7RF with an i7-7700HQ, GTX 1070, and running some ancient NVIDIA driver for compatibility with the BIOS or VBIOS (I think?), but with some tracking issues using inside-out tracking. Could just be Cosmos stuff, but things got worse as I put the CPU under any real load.

The cable connected to the headset did not seat correctly. First we got error code that the yhe headset was not communicating with the video card. Found out it was the cable connection. Next the video was upside down

 Reconnected headset and it was ok for awhile. Then stopped working. After reconnecting over and over never got it working. Returned unit after 5 days of effort

0 errors my pc is not that great. I know it can run it fine with out full body trackers and steam is so buggy with the setup. My honest opinion on this purchase

 are there any fellow cosmos users here who have dealt with this game before? I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to play this game on these controllers, I just don't know enough about the guttyworks of the bindings to experiment with it myself.

I currently have the Quest 2 but I am going to return it, not a fan at all and I had a pretty bad experience using it for PCVR. The first iteration of the Reverb G2 was okay but also didn’t blow me away because it was riddled with bugs and non stop troubleshooting. WMR is just not a great experience and the controllers were also quite flimsy. 

Is the Cosmos Elite worth it on sale for 650€ (same price as the G2 and nearly half the price of the Index)?

Hello, I'm writing because I'm about at my wits end with this headset. I just got the Cosmos Elite Pro (would have went pro 2, but couldn't find any in stock). My issue primarily is insane stuttering with this headset. As soon as I start SteamVR, I'm getting extremely choppy framerates (steamVR graph is mostly purple) and this goes on for a while

It got here this morning and I plugged it in straight away and was pleasantly surprised when my VP2 loaded into SteamVR home within a couple of seconds. I couldn't tell the difference in quality from wired to wireless (but to be fair, I am only using a 2070 super which I OC'd myself) and proceeded to jump into Blade and Sorcery (for those that don't know what it is, its basically VR sword fighting with magic and mods - probably my favourite game in VR - 500+ hours) and had a blast of a time, it looked amazing compared to my OG Vive thanks to the boost in resolution, although the frame rate is only 90 in wireless which was the same as the OG Vive, but that's absolutely fine for me - I probably couldn't run 120fps even if I wanted to.

I wouldn’t even give this one star. So fundamentally broken that it’s shocking this bundle goes for almost $900. The controllers are an absolute nightmare, most of the time the touchpad doesn’t work so you can’t move around in games very well without stopping and not being able to move for about 10 seconds. I looked into it online and a majority of players run into this touchpad issue and so the design itself is defective

When watching movies how does the Vive Pro 2 compare with the Index?

 The Vr3 did a good job with comfort, but the weight was without a doubt the limiting factor. Even though the balancing was good, you could still tell that you are wearing quite a heavy device. The arrow is much lighter than the Vr3 because there is no more hand tracking and no more focus displays. The device is now 300 grams lighter and weighs only around 500 grams

 Of course, a single cable also benefits comfort and ease of use. Comfort is an especially important aspect here since the Aero is clearly aimed at the high-end simmer community at users that want to wear the device for hours and hours at a time. The Vr3 did a good job with comfort, but the weight was without a doubt the limiting factor. Even though the balancing was good, you could still tell that you are wearing quite a heavy device

 From the outside you can still distinguish the two headsets though because the Arrow only needs one cable whereas the Vr3 still needed two of them. That also means instead of two Dp ports and two Usb ports like with the Vr3 now, only one Dp port and a single Usb port are needed to connect the Aero to a gaming Pc. Of course, a single cable also benefits comfort and ease of use. Comfort is an especially important aspect here since the Aero is clearly aimed at the high-end simmer community at users that want to wear the device for hours and hours at a time

 here about the Vario Arrow, but without further ado, let's directly get into the review and let's start with the basics: build quality and comfort. The build quality and materials used are top notch. The Arrow is a well-built high-end device that feels just as premium as the Vr3. It does not come as a surprise though since both headsets use exactly the same casing that even features woven fabric parts instead of an all plastic enclosure like most of the competition
