HTC Vive Cosmos Elite vs Meta Quest 2

Controllers are outdated, better VR controllers have been developed since the Vive Wands came out. The ones that come with the Cosmos Elite are the same gen 1 controllers that came with the original HTC Vive(2016) The touch pads are fine in a most situations but a dedicated joystick and buttons generally would be better. The screen resolution is fine, I don't really notice the resolution unless I try to watch videos in the headset. Videos on my 1080p monitor look better than they do in VR

They feel simultaneously too small, and yet too big. The nubby handles results in my pinkie finger wrapping around the bottom (think that picture of Andre the Giant holding a can of beer), but the huge-ass grip button means my middle finger isn't wrapped firmly around the controller, so I'm holding it with the two weakest fingers on the human hand. The plastic feels cheap and makes me sweat a lot, the bulky sensor ring makes it feel top-heavy and like it will topple out of my hands if I don't hold on (even though it actually won't).

Headset and worthy upgrade to the original vibe, and also a nice step up from all the previous HTC vive devices. It is almost certainly the best optio...

* The audio is fine. I'm used to the fancy valve index audio, but tbh the audio from the quest 2 headset is also completely fine, and I like being more easily able to talk to people around me irl.

They both have smaller fov than your index. The vive pro has better black levels, worse res (can actually see the screendoor and little smudgy) and closed strap(stays in place easier but hotter), vive cosmos elite has sharper resolution (screendoor about same as index) and open halo strap (easier to flip on off, not as stable if your head doesnt fit but much cooler due to air coming from free bottom.

I mean, everyone knows that the "Official" products are better, right? Not this time. The stock strap is always either too loose or too tight and, after a little while, it just starts to loosen up on its own..

I've done it! A seemingly viable HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2 converter that works, for those of us on laptops trying to run a Vive Cosmos or Rift S for portability, but with only an HDMI port to GPU.

I didn't actually realize just how much visual quality I was missing with the old strap. I would definitely recommend this head strap as an upgrade to the stock strap.

I have a Vive cosmos elite and I have started experiencing this weird issue with stutter. Whenever a game is running fullscreen or is highlighted on the monitor, game is VR is a stuttery mess. If I click start after I launch the game its extremely smooth and as I would expect. I have no idea why this is happening and until now it was fine I used to just launch the game, click on the vive thing to open firefox and the game ran fine but this became an issue with VR titles that need a controller

Getting **consistently lowest possible latency** is very important for enjoyable gameplay. The freedom of not being tethered and still play your PC games is the best part here.

The cable connected to the headset did not seat correctly. First we got error code that the yhe headset was not communicating with the video card. Found out it was the cable connection. Next the video was upside down

0 errors my pc is not that great. I know it can run it fine with out full body trackers and steam is so buggy with the setup. I give them an A for effort but the headset earphones are cheaply made my recommendations is to buy a usb Headphones don't use the poorly made one's with the headset they keep flicking upwards on me hard to hear the games sound. And for the price it's not worth it to me

I installed this strap setup and the headaches are pretty much entirely gone. I've played for at least one full charge every day since I got this product and played for ~12 hours (including a charge break) the day before writing this review and the difference is beyond night and day. The worst thing I've experienced is occasionally a hair might get tugged but that has happened maybe once or twice so far. The strap and back pad are nice and soft

are there any fellow cosmos users here who have dealt with this game before? I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to play this game on these controllers, I just don't know enough about the guttyworks of the bindings to experiment with it myself.

Christmas day came and my wife and sister had bought me some goodies for my Quest 2 (they had purchased them a while back, and they also were not aware of just how serious this issue was).

Is the Cosmos Elite worth it on sale for 650€ (same price as the G2 and nearly half the price of the Index)?

So, the Quest 2 is a steal! It's a cheap headset that's good enough, and since Facebook is subsidizing the cost, you really can't beat it's value!

It got here this morning and I plugged it in straight away and was pleasantly surprised when my VP2 loaded into SteamVR home within a couple of seconds. I couldn't tell the difference in quality from wired to wireless (but to be fair, I am only using a 2070 super which I OC'd myself) and proceeded to jump into Blade and Sorcery (for those that don't know what it is, its basically VR sword fighting with magic and mods - probably my favourite game in VR - 500+ hours) and had a blast of a time, it looked amazing compared to my OG Vive thanks to the boost in resolution, although the frame rate is only 90 in wireless which was the same as the OG Vive, but that's absolutely fine for me - I probably couldn't run 120fps even if I wanted to.

Quest 2 is amazing buddy dont hold back its gonna be in everyone's house soon that has any think to do with gaming to be fair why sit behind the screen when u can be in it !! Happy gaming ladies and gents
