 Before with the F6x, it would take a few steps to lock out in the open.  Out of the box, my F7x was on the 7.20 firmware. Earlier this week while sitting at my desk, I received a vibrate alert and the message onscreen said it was upgrading to new 7

 With it fully charged and all sensors on, it said 20-day battery life. Simply amazing. My F6x on a full charge said it would last 10 days but it worked out to be only 5. The big dip came when Sleep Score was introduced but it could have been the battery was on its way out

 The F7x does not disappoint with battery… until I saw the Instinct 2 Solar specs. I pulled it out of the box on 1/26 at 80% charge and only charged it on 2/10 when it reached 20%. With it fully charged and all sensors on, it said 20-day battery life. Simply amazing

Battery life is great, tracking is excellent, and I'm really impressed by everything it does and how well. Also a huge fan of the transflective screen vs AMOLED. Indoors, it looks like a normal watch and not my phone. In bed, I can check it without being blinded

 I really want to give this 5 stars.  THE ONLY ISSUE is the fitness tracker/recommendations. I have been working out A TON ever since I got this, which was sort of the point. This watch wants me to slow down and do more "low aerobic" activities

 Battery life is superb. Super easy to use, and they seem to have thought of everything (example: turning off touch screen while you're recording an exercise activity but still allowing scrolling/functionality with intuitive button presses). The data collected are really helpful, especially if you sync them with Strava (subscription costs extra). I bought the HRM-one heart rate monitor to pair with it and it works very well

Probably Deserves 5, But...

 Fenix 7 vs Fenix 6 To be honest, there's not much of difference between two generations other than 1. 7 has touch screen and 6 doesn't 2. 7 supports most languages and 6 doesn't 3. 7 has a bit more solar charging area than 6 So, if you don't need other language support and don't use map often, go ahead and grab a Fenix 6 instead

 7 has much longer battery life. Almost three weeks vs 5's one week. This is huge, but I think it's mostly from better power management rather than solar charging. I wear it 7/24 and never take it off

 No wonder all the reviewers crow about is the battery life becasue that is the single positive thing about this watch.  I came here from the Samsung 3, which was a great smart watch but only pairs with Samsung phones.  I think this is going to sit there really nicely with those watches. I think if you like a kind of lighter, thinner watch, I think that's kind of what you're going to get here. The battery life generally in terms of what Polo is touting here, kind of a week's worth of battery, I think is pretty much what you're going to get at this price range as well. So it sits well in terms of what else is out there, whether it's going to be better

50, which is again, is going to have loads of great features and basically be slightly better than the current Vantage M2. Actually, that's an important note. So basically with these new launches, Polar seems to be killing off the Polar Vantage M2 because this is the same price as that watch and offers just a lot more in terms of features and a nice design, in my opinion. So it's kind of reshaping the range, trickling down a load of their key kind of training and kind of navigation features onto cheaper watches

And that's a good thing, even if there's not anything new to shout about really with these watches. So the Pace Pro is aimed at runners, but it's actually a full multi-sport watch

 You'll also get an improved version of the Polar Precision Prime heart rate sensor that has a couple of extra LEDs to hopefully be more accurate. And Polar has also promised kind of better GPS accuracy due to a redesigned antenna, but there's no kind of multi-band support like you're starting to see crop up on some top end watches. So the kind of key features that have dropped down from the Vantage V2 and Gritex watches are things like route navigation with turn by turn directions, hill splitter, performance tests for running and cycling and a new walking kind of test that will give you your VO2 max after a brisk 15 minute walk. And then kind of the Coros Apex, I think you're getting a kind of strong running focused watch there or kind of tracking experience there as well

4. Polar watches have the most accurate HR from the watches i have mentioned. never tried the GPS tracking, software a bit laggy but overall is a great watch for mountain biking. the Pacer Pro just came out and that might be what you want

 Generally speaking, pretty good. So in my testing, I stacked up the Polar Pacer Pro against a bicep heart rate sensor, which is worn up here, and also a chest-based ECG sensor for a baseline of comparison, because these two sensors are super accurate. And all in all, the Pacer Pro held its own pretty accurately, and it looked pretty good and right in line with those other sensors with a couple of deviations here and there, but nothing major. Generally speaking, pretty solid heart rate performance from the Pacer Pro

The Pacer and Pacer Pro are purpose built to be streamlined and simplified without too many frills or fluff on top. And these two devices come in at two different price points with two different feature sets, starting at $199 for the Polar Pacer and $299 for the Pacer Pro that I have here

 And if you don't know, multi-band GPS means that it actually can use multiple bands in order to get a more accurate fix when it comes to GPS accuracy. And in my testing, this is one of the more accurate GPS devices I've ever tested on this channel. So it's a good baseline for comparison.
