 When I'm trying to put an espresso portafilter, I remember that I used to find it quite hard to dial in and the reason why? The portal filter size of this espresso maker is 46 millimeters, which is smaller than a standard commercial size of 58 millimeters which means the coffee bed is going to be smaller but deeper and you may have to change the grind size and go a little bit closer. Flare: I've just released a new manual espresso maker which is a Flair 58 which cover exactly the same points. So if you're looking for something where you don't have too many parts, you're not really fond of having an extra step where you have to preheat the group heads and you would like to stick to a 58 millimeters Porter filter, you might want to consider the Flare 58. What I like about this Flare Pro 2: It looks sleek, it's small, it's portable, It's well built

Flair Pro 2 | 6 months review | Worth it?

It seems that there is a design issue with the pressure gauge : the material is plastic and when you press the hand lever down, the pressure gauge tends to bend backward which results additional pressure at the end part, not into the middle part. So, it cracked after a few months of usage (I've never applied more pressure than 9 PSI). Also, the rubber cover at the hand lever is attached to the metal with three rubber joints. Two of them have broken after 3-4 usage

Considering your wants and preground coffee, I'd advise against the Flair. The Flair seems to work well with coffee ground for espresso and preground coffee will not provide that. If you had a grinder, it could be considered. However, since you're looking for ease of use and cleanup, the Flair isn't it

I personally enjoy milk drinks and tbh I dont have the highest standard for coffee, as I'm fine with the ones from starbucks. My concerns for the coffee maker are ease of use, consistency, quickness, ease of cleaning up, and small size, with the former ones being more important, and of course, producing lattes with a quality higher than, or at least on par with those from starbucks. (sorry if I'm asking for too much in this price range)

However, I have literally no extra equipment like grinder or kitchen scale, besides an electric kettle, and I plan to get my pre-ground espresso coffee (illy?) from supermarkets. 

So, between the above two, which of them would you recommend more to me? Feel free to leave suggestions other than the two of my options if you think they suit me more. Thanks in advance!

Moka pot vs Flair neo for milk drinks?

 Extremely well built and full of little details that show the respect and attention that they have for the customers. Similar to what Apple used to do in the glory days.

 Boy, I'm glad I bought the Flair. Since the first extraction, I was able to brew a good espresso!!! As I became more familiarized with the workflow, the espresso only got better (learning curve was 3 shots!!!!!!). I brought the Flair to the office and my friends were in love with it. I chose the Flair Pro2 model and I’m glad I did

 I was a little skeptical at first, because I had already tried using Gaggia and Delonghi fully automated coffee machines at the office and the espresso quality was subpar with what I have at home. Even using the more expensive models. Boy, I'm glad I bought the Flair. Since the first extraction, I was able to brew a good espresso!!! As I became more familiarized with the workflow, the espresso only got better (learning curve was 3 shots!!!!!!)

 I read good reviews for the Classic and the Signature, but the sturdier materials, flexibility and larger yield of the Pro 2 is worth every cent. The build quality of the machine the accessories and the case are works of art. Extremely well built and full of little details that show the respect and attention that they have for the customers. The media could not be loaded. I've always loved espresso, but only during the pandemic felt the need to brew some at home.  I had a cheap espresso machine with pressurised baskets, and the difference with the Flair PRO 2 has been night and day. I've been using it for two weeks, and have already pulled (or pushed?) a couple of amazing shots, as you can see in the pictures (that's a dark medium roast, 20% robusta and 80% arabica)

 I could actually choke it with my manual Xeoleo grinder a couple of clicks away from the finest setting. The flip-side of this is that it is very difficult to find accessories (like distributors and tampers), which are overpriced in comparison to larger products for 51mm baskets.  The only thing I'm still struggling with is thermal management. As it's not plugged to the mains, you have to pre-heat the brew head either by placing it on top of your kettle or filling it with boiling water a couple of times

 I'm not so bothered by the time this takes as by the fact I can't control temperature very well. I want to get some temp strips from their official site to get more consistency, and maybe also experiment a bit.

I used to have a cheap espresso machine and I still have a basic cuisinart burr grinder, but the espresso machine died and I was gifted around 500 nespresso pods, so I bought the pixie and have been using it since. I mostly make iced lattes and with the nespresso pods, that means 2 pods per cup which is maybe about a triple shot. and we make between 2 and 8 cups a day between my wife and I and other people that stop out.

I’ve been using my nespresso pixie for the past 3 years and although it’s convenient, all the pods tasted more or less the same to me now, it’s getting boring and expensive. I’d love to get a proper entry level set up and would love some set recommendations for something within the $500 - $1.5k range. I was looking at the breville barista touch but it has mixed reviews
