For $30 or so you can get a moka pot. Use that, while you save up and keep your eye out for good used deal.

There's a couple of options. You buy a grinder and a manual espresso maker like the Flair. Or something like a sage Bambino, or you go big and spend a butt load of money.

Flair classic is $160, so no, not really. Gaggia Classic, Breville Barista Pro, etc.. those are all a lot more expensive and have their own gotchas and some would probably argue can't match the Flair in the hands of an experienced user. However I would say the pressure gauge is really a key thing with the Flair and worth the money.
