Everybody compares this to the BRS-3000T so I'll start there. At first glance they look extremely similar and the BRS is a few grams lighter coming in just under an ounce. The Fire Maple is actually the original and if you pay attention to the pictures you'll notices some brass and steel parts in there. That accounts for the weight difference and also the quality difference between the two stoves

The canister does not fit in the cup with the other items even if you use the smallest canister. This was the biggest issue. Even looking at the instructions it has you leave out the pot stand to fit it all. Bummer

Most importantly for me this stove allows very fine attenuation of the flame. That allows me to simmer in pot. If you are rehydrating meals the full flame boils water very quickly. The stove is rated at 9500 BTU
