 It just makes the cut for something like an HT 600. It probably won't work for super power, hungry low sensitivity, type of headphones. So I did find that the signal is very crisp and clear. There'S virtually no noise, like I don't even hear any ambient static type of not static but white noise, where the headphone plugged in sometimes you get some weird weird little noises from time to time

 The bass boosts, which feels nice and the gain switch, also feels nice. It feels substantial, I guess, like I said, all the inputs feel good, especially the headphone jack. I found that plugging in a headphone you get a satisfying click which I appreciated. It seems like everything, is a of a pretty high quality here and that's exceptional considering

 What about some of its features and against which which most people will appreciate, including myself? The gain switch is basically just for more power-hungry headphones you're, not getting as much raw power here as you would with something like a JD s. Labs he's really going to town you're, pretty good, just what I'd expect from the man with the same code as the boss, JD s, labs, objective to that amp outputs. I think 613 milliwatts at 33 ohms. So you could see the difference

 A wine out gain switch and a coax as well as USB front volume. Knob looks like a bass boost. Well, that's a tiny, tiny, amp deck. That sounds very, very good box, and this is nice

At first, I wasn’t sure about spending so much on headphones, but I figured why not go with something that I loved the look of (honestly I think they’re just gorgeous!) and get something that will last! And after using them for only an hour I already feel like it was so worth it! Thank you to this sub for indirectly encouraging me to get these lovelies; I really do adore them!

 I decided on the Meze 99 Classics because I was looking for something really “fun” with bass - and these kept popping up! I just listened to a few songs (it’s paired with a FiiO E10K), and I’m so so impressed by just how... clear? everything sounds! I feel like I can hear so many details in songs that I’ve listened to a million times

New to the sub and thought I’d say hi! Hopefully I used the right flair.

So I got this DAC-Amp a few months ago and use them with the headphones Sennheiser HD 598. I have a few things to say about them. For the price, it's not a good DAC-Amp. I will give it maybe a $50 price and that's because you can find a better DAC-Amp more advanced at a $70 price

Tech Support: setup: iPhone streaming Spotify + camera adapter + external lightning power cord> Schiit Modi 1 > Vali 2 > SR225e

I get occasional crackling in my headphones that seems to resolve on unplugging my iPhone from the Modi and effectively rebooting the DAC.

It happens with either headphones, either amp, either RCA connector, and it’s happened both with an rPi streaming airplay from my iPhone to my DAC and my iPhone directly connected to the DAC.

Is this a known issue with the Modi 1? Is it just old? Or does it sound like a streaming issue? It’s definitely a crackle, not a digital sounding noise, so I’m leaning DAC. But maybe I just want a Modi 3...

I'm trying to decide between Sony WF-1000XM3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.

Hello I am trying to find a $40 headset with a mic that works with phone and pc. Not really much and doesn’t need to be the best sound as I would have one ear out always. Any suggestions would be great

I have a Schitt magni 2 and he400i and I need a replacement wire for my headphones. That would be 2.5mm headphone input and 6.3mm for the schitt but if I already have a 3.5mm to 6.3mm should I go for 3.5mm? 

I guess what I’m asking is to confirm the 2.5 and 6.3 numbers and also is using a converter detrimental to quality in any way that would make we want to sacrifice the versatility of 3.5 with the converter?

my current headphones are the bose QC20s and I wanted to see if there were any good upgrades from this? I am mostly interested in headphones with similar quality of ANC. The audio pass through feature on these headphones is amazing and I want that, but with a less annoying battery on the headphones if possible... what are my options?

Broken plug on HyperX cloud II headset, need help with wire cutting.

My 3.5mm audio plug recently bent and broke off and I’m looking for tips. I’m fairly comfortable with smoldering and installing a new plug, but I don’t feel safe cutting the wire as it is fabric sleeved and I’ve never worked with anything similar. Any help would be appreciated!

* **Requirements for Isolation** \- Nice-to-have. I will primarily use them at home, but it helps me focus.
* **Will you be using these Headphones in Public?** \- Not necessarily, but if possible, I will.
* **Preferred Type of Headphone** \- I'd prefer full-size headphones. I think I'd prefer over-ear headphones, but I don't have a lot of experience in this field.
* **Preferred tonal balance** \- No clue.

A broken house of marley liberate xlbt. I like the bluetooth as it allows me to just walk around while working or watching a video on my desktop. They are prety easy to use. They are a bit tight around my (relatively large) head, which starts hurting after about 30 minutes, though I often use them all day long.

Jabra Evolve 80 through work. They are very comfortable (except the microphone that pushes against the corner of my mouth) and the active noice canceling is great. I've learnt that even in a home setting, they help me focus on tasks.

* **Preferred Music** \- I listen to mostly things in the range from jazz to pop. I also watch a lot of movies (which may also be important?)
* **What would you like to improve on from your set-up?** \-  Currently, I have no headphones that work with my piano. I want to have a pair of headphones that just work and with which I can do all the things outlined above, like connect to my devices wirelessly and connect to my piano. I also want them to be comforatble, as I will use them a lot. I like drowning out my thoughts with music, so good audio quality would be great!

I don't need extra smart-fuctions like alexa or necessary mobile apps. I'd rather have headphones that just work.

Hi everyone! 

I am currently expecting a pair of Sennheiser HD660S. 

I was wondering if I should pair them with the new Fiio Q3 headphone amp. I currently run a Fiio A5 amp (apparently discontinued) with a Fiio M6 DAP. I play mostly Hi resolution .wav, .flac and DSD files for jazz and classical. 

Is the Q3 worth the upgrade? I don't know if my current setup will be good enough.

Hello! Im looking to buy a new pair of headphones, and im not really sure which ones would be best. My first picks at the moment are Senheiser's hd 450bt's and Sony's wh1000xm3's. I was pretty much decided on the xm3's but then I read that their sound quality isn't very good and now im not sure anymore. Does the 450bt have better sound quality? What would be some alternatives? My budget is around 200 euros. Im looking for good sound quality, wireless capabilities with the option for wired, comfort and atleast a bit of noise cancellation, doesn't have to be ANC though it would be very nice.

Hi, I posted in the last thread asking about DAC/amps and if they were still necessary or not lol. I think I decided that, due to mixed feedback, I'll buy a cheaper portable one (ala Dragonfly or maybe a Chord Mojo if the headphones really require it).

Anyway, now it's time for the big headphones question:

* **Budget:** Around $1000 USD (not including the DAC/amp). Possibly slightly flexible (like maybe willing to go up to $1200 if I have to).
* **Source:** Like I said, I'll be buying an affordable portable DAC/amp like a Dragonfly or Chord Mojo.
* **Will you be using these headphones in public?** Don't plan to.
* **Preferred type of headphone:** Over-the-ear.
* **Preferred tonal balance:** I'd say I'm looking for an overall balanced pair. 
* **Past headphones:** Sennheiser Momentums, which I think I remember having particularly nice treble? It's been a long time. Also I think I remember the sound surprisingly not leaking, which I liked as well, but isn't really a make-or-break contingent for me. I had a pair of Master and Dynamics after that but I can't remember the model. The sound quality was more or less the same as the Momentums. Then, for the last five years, I've had Sennheiser HD650's, which I've been happiest with. They have no particularly strong points, but just sound the most neutral and accurate. They're not all that exciting to listen to either (maybe that's because I never got a DAC/amp), but I'd rather have balance and accuracy over excitement.
* **Preferred music:** Mostly electronic/dance. 
* **What would you like to improve on from your set-up:** I guess whatever is considered a step up from the 650s that AREN'T the 800's lol. I like neutrality, accuracy, a big soundstage, being able to hear lots of little details more easily, and things of that nature. However, the general consensus seems to be that headphones like that require expensive DAC/amp setups to really thrive, so maybe I'm being unrealistic. And, maybe the answer will be that if I'm already in the $1000 budget range, I should just cough up the rest for the 800's. (And then pay god knows what for the appropriate DAC/amp... ugh.)
