Beautiful guitar, don’t get me wrong, however, I’m giving this 3 stars for the horrendous set up it came with. Intonation was wack, truss rod was wack, saddles were wack, a string actually unwound from the bridge when I used the whammy bar. The fret ends were also very sharp. My verdict is that if you’re a little hands on and know how to fix these minor issues it’s a good buy, but for beginners or ones that are scared to work on a guitar you’ll have to pay for a professional setup which can range from 50-100$ so you make the call if you wanna spend the money

I have a few Squier Affinity Strats picked up this past year due to boredom stuck in house and based on these previous purchases, I feel this was a let down. I wanted a Candy-Apple Red Strat but did not want to pay up for the Classic Vibe since I planned on modding it. Also needed a small practice amp because my 25 yr old Rockman has seen better days. So

I thought it was a bit overpriced with a £1000 starting bid considering everything, and I wasn't in a position to go and collect it, and it was relisted a number of times and never sold so I thought I would wait until the seller reduced the price a bit, and didn't buy it. Then the listing ended and it never went back up again. I still slightly regret not buying it, because those old sixties Fender offsets and student guitars are just *so* cool, but they're pretty uncommon on this side of the Atlantic.

Now I have to buy new strings... I guess this is just a case of getting what you pay for
