 Here, you can see how the bridge is coming up a little bit. That's how it's supposed to be to be a floating tremolo. That just allows you to kind of go both ways on the tremolo as you want. Either up the pitch, lower the pitch

Fender American Standard Stratocaster Demo & Review

 Hey guys, it's Danny from PMTV UK and today I'm here to talk about these lovely strats

 that Fender make sometimes all of the time and this is the American Standard.

 The American Standard Stratocaster needs little to no introduction.

 Since its incarnation in 1954, the style hasn't really changed, there's been a few little

 upgrades here and there, but it's the same shape, the same headstock, made in roughly

 It's a legendary guitar and this video might not be applicable for some of you because

 you might know everything there is to know about the Stratocaster but we're doing a little

 series of videos on the Strat so why not include the most prominent.

 So like I said, the Stratocaster hasn't changed much in its 62 years of production.

 Same classic style, same headstock shape, it's great.

 These days they've got alder bodies, got a maple neck, this one has a rosewood fingerboard,

 Maple is probably more popular but I prefer rosewood, it's nice and soft.

 Three single coil pickups, these days they come with custom shop fat 50 pickups, they

 also do a HSS version which has a Shawbucker in the bridge and a HH version which is Fender's

 It's got a five-way switch to go between the five pickup positions.

 One, two, three, four, five, here to here.

 One volume, one tone for this pickup and one tone for these guys.

And Andy you hmm hey I'm John Bollinger With Premier Guitar today, we're doing a review demo of the American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shaw Bucer sounds a little bit like a boat, but it's not. It's a guitar with H as in humbucker SS as in single single and Shaw bucker as in a very cool new humbucker that's designed. it's a proprietary design for this very guitar by Tim Shaw Tim Shaw Some of you might know is kind of a pickup guru in the 80s. He was working with gifts and it kind of brought back that classic PAF sound that that Seth lover had originally intended

 The bridge or whammy bar is kind of a mix of a vey classic old-school but I'll but built with a - to Point Break so it gives you really great stability. Observe you you? So not surprisingly, this American standard strat really sounds like a strap. These fifties single coils here are kind of perfect staggered and have that classics Strat sound to them. Observe: here's the neck and middle together

 It's great for that classic Bonnie Raitt kind of tone. Hey It's funny to me that tone is almost like a dobro. Strangely enough, it's just great. This tone are the two together, the bridge and the middle together

 Dig this. Like a lot of times you put a humbucker in a strat, they're just not even. It's almost not usable with the other two pickups because the output will be so much greater without. Bucer But this is pretty close

Review Demo - Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker

 If you're like most of us when we start out and you don't have a lot of cash to blow on your new hobby, then one of the Fender Squires or one of this made in where the Asian factories can be bought for around two hundred two hundred fifty dollars and they play just fine. What's just like any other guitar purchase, play it before you buy it. The real test is how it feels and sounds to you, how much you like it when it's actually in your hands and you're playing. I Love eBay I Love buying things online I Have never and probably will never buy a guitar online I'm sorry if I'm missing any eBay sellers out there, but it really is best to hold the guitar and play it

 In the past I've owned a Stratocaster that was manufactured in Mexico a Mexi strat as we call it and I've played many others now play this. American Standard Well, for about 15 years it's my favorites out of the Strats I've tried partially because it's the American Standard has superior craftsmanship and that gives it a better tone and a better feel. I Originally chose a Stratocaster because it's used to perform a lot of the music that I listened to. Eric Clapton played one

 I've owned a Stratocaster that was made in Mexico and it played just fine. a Mexi Strat as we call it played the American standard for years I Settled on it because of the superior craftsmanship and gives it a better feel and tone. I Personally got a great deal on mine if you can find a great deal or just have the wherewithal to spend on one. I Highly recommend it
