You'Re gon na get an even brighter sound, but I've come to find that with this speaker, it didn't really attenuate the top end at all, and it gave you all the benefits in terms of imaging. It'S just something to experiment with

 So to the left. We have our emotive ot1, plus our 3-way rear ported tower that retails for six hundred ninety nine dollars in the middle. We have the triangle bro three. This is going to be a two-way front

 So, if that's what you're looking for, then you either add a sub or you just go with the bigger version of this speaker, but I think the bass is good in the sense that it enables you to track complex recordings very easily. I think it's a little cleaner sounding than the average tower speaker at this price point. But again, the trade-off is that you're not going to get that raw visceral listening experience out of it imaging, as mentioned before, the imaging is going to be great out of this speaker. The focus in between the t1 plus is in particular, is just very, very good, and you don't have to work too hard to get that and one of the things that really surprised me is this off-axis performance I mean when I'm off to decide or when I'm Walking around listening to the speaker, I think it's actually just as enjoyable as when you're sitting down in between the speakers

 I gave it a few days and the smell did not dissipate it grew strong in odor. Called emotiva customer service and asked him if I could treat them with a lemon juice or vinegar solution they told me to go ahead. After 2 weeks to spell has dissipated slightly but I still get eye irritation and feel somehow I'm making myself slightly sick. As far as the speaker the ribbon Tweeter is quite outstanding ,the vocal Clarity is quite nice

 Coming for a British speaker they're is more detailed and a bit dry in the mid-range, the separation is very distinct. I find they're lacking in musicality but overall a very good product. Shopping for audio equipment online is very difficult you often have to depend on reviews and sometimes there reviews are inaccurate or bias. I wish I had ordered these speakers through Amazon or Crutchfield then I would have returned them but through Emotiva the shipping cost would be greater than $200 loss, I'm not willing to except

Good speaker horrible chemical smell

Can't go wrong with these emotiva airmotivs. I first bought the C1 and the s12 sub and they are awesome. I just bought the T1s and these things kick ass. They have tight controlled bass, good midrange and strong presence without being harsh

 In fact, I thought I had the subwoofer on when I was playing music through these and I had to go over and see if it was off because these speakers put out some good bass. They were on closeout so I highly recommend them. It's great emotiva actually makes great stuff for more affordable prices than some of these brands that charge $1000s for speakers. The build quality and stealth look to them is great too

 I was concerned that maybe I wouldn't love the AMT tweeter because I have a strong dislike for harshness in my music--but these are completely smooth. The midrange is balanced and clear with nice separation between voices and instruments. And the bass extends deep and hits hard (but not excessively so!). They took only an hour or two to break-in (the tweeters mellowed and the woofers loosened up I guess because they started producing fuller bass)

I ordered them at the same time as some ELAC Debut Reference DBR62s. They aren't exactly in the same class, but for what it's worth it was not a difficult decision to keep these and return the ELACs

 I am planning on adding a TA-100 when they get back in stock, as well some sort of bluetooth audio streamer at some point.

 Even with those low quality components, the speakers sound fantastic. Great separation, strong, quick bass, clear mids and highs. Sounds nice at low volumes, and phenomenal when I turn it up. I like the looks too - I have taken the covers off, but they look and sound great with them on as well

I am not a hifi gear expert, but I am a musician, with a pretty good ear. Right now I have these speakers hooked up to a cheap old Sony receiver, which is hooked up to my TV via optical audio out into a very cheap DAC to go into the RCA's in the receiver. Even with those low quality components, the speakers sound fantastic. Great separation, strong, quick bass, clear mids and highs

 The S60's are nicely designed, aesthetically pleasing, and very well built with good insulation and internal bracing to dampen resonance. However, I will ding Polk here on the fact that though the finish is modern and contemporary - it is a veneer, which just seems a little unimpressive and I do wish these came in a piano gloss finish. However, Polk made these Signature Series speakers using quality components and excellent build. These S60s look as good as they sound and I am very satisfied with their construction and quality

 The bass they bright, clean, and solid - with just the right amount of punch for low-frequency effect. In stereo mode you definitely do not need a separate subwoofer; however, in the home theater mode, a separate sub does add a noticeable bit of authoritative impact on the effects. Don't get me wrong, you definitely can feel the superb bass output with these, but as I seriously doubt that it is physically possible for any floor standing speaker to produce LFE in home theater mode to match a powered subwoofer. But again, in pure stereo music mode the S60's shine throughout a very wide acoustic range to deliver a very natural, detailed, accurate, balanced, and blended sound

 These signature speakers can get up as high as 40 kHz and believe me, you can hear these tweeters shine with vocals and horns. 5) Midrange: A.  These are Bi-Amped to my Yamaha Advantage receiver that delivers 95 watts per channel. The bi-amping does make a noticeable sound difference, especially with opening up the high-frequency range. If your receiver can assign two channels to bi-amp, you should really do it. If you have a receiver with a calibration mic, definitely use it in your initial set up to ensure proper phase control and distance
