This one is pretty damn good. It's not quite there. You Short and bright long and dark this one I really really like it's got a nice sort of swell into those upper Octaves, it doesn't get too Out of hand in the high end because a lot of other shimmer reverbs

Electro Harmonix Oceans 11 Reverb Demo & Review - Stompbox Saturday

 What's going on everybody, Sean Pierce Johnson here with this week's edition of Stomp Box

 Saturday and I'm very excited to be showing you all the Oceans 11 reverb from Electro

 That is our pedal on the stomping block today and there is a lot of stuff going on in this

 So let's throw the pedal up on the screen and take a look at what we're working with,

 So from the get go, you can already see that this pedal is incredibly simple, kind of continuing

 on the vein of most electro harmonics stuff.

 You have four knobs, you have effects level, time, tone, and an 11 way rotary encoder.

 Rotary encoder to select the different reverb modes available to you.

 You have a mode button in the center of all those knobs, which accesses multiple modes

 of each reverb type in the Oceans 11 pedal.

 So there's a little bit more than 11 reverbs on this thing.

 And then of course a nice soft touch foot switch.

 Now right off the bat, there's a common complaint with this pedal for its price and for what

 We're going to be running this just in the effects loop of the Rockerverb 100.

 And quite frankly, most of the time I'm running mono anyway.

 I don't have the money nor the clout to run stereo for most of the gigs that I play.

 Other than that, you have a jack for infinite right here, which basically there's these

 little like foot switches that electro harmonics makes that you can plug into.

 I think electro harmonics makes them, I don't know, but you can plug it into the side and

 that acts as a bunch of other cool features like infinite hold on certain reverb modes

 It simulates the sound of when you kick a stinking reverb tank.

 It's hot and sorry if you hear the air conditioning sometimes it's hot here in SoCal.

 Ain't no cure for the summertime blues, but pedals do it.

 Let's get down to the sounds because there's a lot to unpack.

 First portion, we're just going to rifle through all the sounds that are available to us on

 Get kind of a sense of how short and how long they can go.

 Then towards the end of the video, I'm going to focus on the sounds that really speak to

 And then of course we'll wrap it up and I'll give you my two cents.

 So set up Les Paul going straight into the front end of the Orange Rockerverb 100.

 In the effects loop, we will have the Electro Harmonix Oceans 11 reverb.

 We'll do just about everything we can think of without making this video an hour long.

 Hear the clean tone, at least I hope it's going to be clean, and this is how we start.

 Turning on the pedal, we are going to start with Hall.

 Turn up the level a bit so we can really hear it.

 12 o'clock on the effects level is a little too subtle in certain settings if you really

 Sometimes I like a nice long dark hall and that one can get pretty trippy at the higher

 range of the time knob and the lowest range of the tone knob.

 I'll just go ahead and jack those in the opposite direction.

 Now I got to say, before I even start playing this thing, this is a fantastic spring emulation.

 Now according to the handy dandy instruction manual, which I have right down here for my

 reference, because let's face it, I don't know everything, sorry guys, sorry to disappoint

 A newly developed reverb capturing the iconic drip of a vintage 1962 Fender 6G15 reverb

 This knob is going to be like the dwell of that reverb.

 And dude, turn the tone up a little bit right there.

 As you can see, it can get a little out of hand.

 Yeah, that's one of my favorite modes off there.

 And quick little cool thing you can do, double tap on the foot switch if you don't have an

 I think this is probably one of the better sounding reverbs on this pedal.

 Let's move on to plate, which I love a lot.

 It's that kind of thing, and it sounds pretty darn cool.

 And short plates are also interesting as well.

 So I'm just going to play like one little thing for you here.

 So essentially we have our decay before our attack, and that can kind of be an interesting

 thing depending on the kind of part that you want.

 I'm going to go ahead, make it a little darker, turn it up like that.

 One of those things that's really cool for kind of dreamy, spacey kind of sounds, maybe
