Size

Very good on the whole - hopefully a future iteration will remedy some design faults

Maybe I just got lucky, but I suggest others do the same: wait to test the mouse yourself before ordering any possibly unnecessary additions for it. My main gripe with the mouse, and the reason I'm deducting a star, is for a problem I had not at all anticipated and saw no one else complaining about: the width of the mouse overall and the narrowness of the main left button. Because of the width of the mouse, I have to angle it to the right a little more than I'm used to, to have my thumb comfortably centered on the trackball in a way that allows for the most accuracy; and because of that and the narrowness of the left-click button, I'm always accidentally pressing one of the two buttons that are crammed to the left side of it. This isn't too much of a problem for every day use, such as browsing the web, but can be a bigger issue when playing some games

Best Logitech trackball mouse to date

"The mouse is too short, my thumb cramps up reaching the ball." -The M570 and this mouse are actually the same distance from the back to the ball. The pictures where people compare, they're clearly reaching up on the Ergo and it's not a true comparison

Shape

Marked improvement over previous Elecom with better ergonomics, smoother motion, tighter tracking & more buttons

For those who care about the "spin factor" of a trackball -- how long the ball will freely spin if you give it a good flick -- I will note that my unit has some spin, but not as much as a broken-in m570. Ergonomics are substantially different than the previous Elecom thumb balls. This model adopts a wider, flatter, slightly longer shape that allows my hand to rest in a somewhat more neutral position compared to the curled-palm grip of the Elecom M-XT3. Compared to the M-XT3, my pinky now rests on the right edge of the mouse instead of on my desk, and my wrist and heel of my hand are elevated slightly off the desk by the extended palm rest

The shape of this mouse is perfect. The tilt up metal plate works great. Imo this is the only thumb ball mouse I'd consider. Pros: Shape Quality Battery life Cons Micro USB for a mouse this expensive it should definitely be USB C Switch longevity I have had the clicker go out before on this mouse and was forced to by a new one Rubber on mouse, it feels great new but does not age the best after years of use Overall this mouse is fantastic! If they change a few things it could be even better!

Weight

Easier than the Huge and Deft Pro, but not perfect like the movement of the Logitech M570 and Ergo. Weight: This is maybe an ounce more than the Logitech M570, but it slides on my desktop much more easily. This means that it doesn't work all that well for gaming because I tend to twist the mouse around a lot under pressure. I need something that will stay put better

It looks nice, the body is higher quality

Clearly a higher quality build, with attention to tactile sensation and practicality. 1) It's very heavy, because of the new pad. One of the primary flaws with the M570 was the 4 little rubber feet on the bottom, that inevitably came unglued, and had to be re-improvised: so a full bottom, rubbery traction surface is very welcome. And it may be neat that it's magnetic, but the pad's weight is easily half or more of the whole mouse
