 Its not as easy to carry around as one of the wheeled bags, but the extra stuff you can fit is great. A wheeled bag wasn't an option for me because one of my planned trips was to Iceland, and I was going to be hiking around carrying this bag. I have to say that the reason why I chose the Eagle Creek Gear Warrior was mainly because of the price. Other 40L travel duffel/backpacks that are comparable in quality and size (ex. Pelican, Osprey, etc) cost $50 to $100 more. The first thing I noticed that this duffel/backpack is actually 45L, not 40L

Recently used this bag for traveling in commuter aircraft. The size is perfect for several days on the road and fits very easily in the overhead. The long term plan is to use it on European trips to return with more stuff than I left with by placing it empty inside of my Tarmac for use on the way home. It takes up very little room in the Tarmac and is pretty light for such a solid bag

I used this pack on a couple long weekend trips with my family. When we travel, we usually use a duffel bag with packing crates so I was excited to try the Seg42 with its built in compartments.

I didn't trust my laptop in the designated laptop space because it isn't well padded. Tossing the bag around like a duffel would probably damage anything stored in that sleeve. The bag also doesn't have external pockets for a water bottle.

Versatile travel pack

\-Well made as expected from Matador, YKK zips with weather sealing, etc. Good subdued look suitable for urban travel. Stitching looked sound in my investigations (my GF is a designer in fashion and I had her verify this).

 The laptop pocket is a nice sleeve compartment, but doesn’t provide any extra protection for it, so remember that when using it. The pocket organization on the front is kinda weird in “duffle” mode (with the storage segments stowed away) since the integrated storage segments compress down. In this manner, I wish the segments were completely removable.

 So kicking it off here. Let's start with the harness system on the back. Now, these straps themselves. You can see that there is kind of like this mesh honeycomb pattern for added air flow

 so it'll tell you right up here on the front which segment that it relates to and how large it is. So segment one here is six liters. If I open that up, I can just get right on on the inside and stick stuff in there with that hypalon zipper pull. And then there is another little hypalon tab here that you can grab onto while you're zipping this thing closed, which is interesting

 We go. Come on buddy. All right there we go. So the two, uh, the zippered area up here

 There's a, you know, decent amount of sponginess, but there's not a ton of thickness and density to this foam here either. Little hypalon attachment points up here and you got a sternum strap here with a buckle. This is a Woojin hardware and then you can just adjust it by taking this clip off of that rail. a little Matador logo down here at the bottom, and then Matador up here

I really want to like this bag, but had to return it day I received it because my laptop would not fit in the so called easy externally accessible laptop sleeve.  What's point of laptop sleeve if laptop won't fit!?!?!

  No waist strap, which was a miss in my opinion.  This thing is not small, being able to strap it down tighter would help.

Let me start with what this is not.  It's not really a daypack, small backpacking pack, or something I'd take on trail.  It's not hydration compatible.  It doesn't have a rainfly

-There is a sternum strap, albeit a pretty small one.  I wouldn't mind one about twice as wide.  No waist strap, which was a miss in my opinion.  This thing is not small, being able to strap it down tighter would help

-The stowable backpack straps are some of the best I've seen.  They don't use plastic clips like most others, instead using metal hooks and small webbing loops.  They're secure and durable, but very little is exposed when stowed.

Not perfect, but too good to not give 5 stars

 So it's not super comfortable. If you're sitting on like uneven or like bumpy grounds so just something to keep in mind um when i used it for yoga, it was fine because i had my mat on top, but just using it for a picnic can be kind of uncomfortable. So we have the little stitching here, which this is really handy, because it's basically a guide to tell you how to fold it back up to get it back into the little pouch which the guide helps. But it's still not like that easy
