 Hey guys, this is Steph Barker on TomTomTV and today we're going to be reviewing DW's

 We're going to be doing the video review on the single pedal, but if you check out issue

 number 6, there's a written review on the single and double pedals.

 So here's a shot of the 3000 Series single pedal.

 As you can see, there's a double sided beater, felt hard plastic, there is a double chain

 feature on this pedal, as well as my favorite feature which you can see, the drum key clip.

 This is a clip right here that actually holds a drum key on your pedal.

 How many times have you been to a gig and you forget your key or you don't have one

 and your beater comes off or something happens where you need a key and now you don't have

 Yes, I say the beater fell off because that definitely happened to me and it was not awesome.

 So we're going to move this pedal around.

 Very solid bass, it's a very, very solid and sturdy pedal and it has the clamp right here

 Another feature about this pedal is the adjustable clamp is on the outside of the pedal.

 Sometimes you have to go, you have to reach your hand below the footboard to actually

 tighten that and this one is on the outside.

 Another feature before we try it out, there is some Velcro on the bottom as well as the

 spikes to make sure this pedal does not move.

 And definitely from experience with this, it is solid once again.

 When you're using it on a drum rug or even not because they have spikes available, this

 pedal will not move so you don't have to worry about it shifting around while you're playing.

 So I'm going to hook it up to my kit and then you guys can see how it works.

 Okay so we're at the kit right now and I'm just going to play a simple rock beat so that

 you guys can see how the pedal is working and then I'll add in a few extra things.

 So as you can see with this pedal, everything seems to be flowing smoothly.

 There's also a memory lock right here so if you ever did run into a problem where the

 beater would be falling out or like it's not adjusted right, this pedal pretty much sets

 it up that it's going to be a very sturdy ride for you.

 Like I said before that happened to me, a beater came out and it was not awesome at

 So the next thing I'm going to do is play another rock beat but simulate a double pedal

 A lot of people like to do that with a single pedal instead of using a double pedal and

 personally that's something that I also like to do.

DW 9000s, Pearl Demon Drives, and Yamaha FP 9s are out of your price range unless you're lucky enough to find them used. IC/SC 910s are in roughly the same "tier" as these but are closer to your budget, assuming this stuff is comparably priced in Australia; these have more adjustments than the 310s and include the Cobra Coil (available as a separate upgrade for the 310s).

Hey guys so im still a beginner at learning double kick and my iron cobra 200s are starting to die and i cant get past 150bpm without one of the pedals physically breaking and then having to fix the issue before i can start playing again. 

I was wondering if you guys would have any recommendations for me, ive got a price range of 600 Australian dollars and can just play up to 150 bpm, cheers guys

Upgrading double kick pedals

 It's smooth, gives so much control to the player. It makes me want to just purchase the double bass direcr drive for all the great options.

Awesome pedal! You wont be disappointed

 i will say i have not gotten the slave to oscillate the same as the master yet, but unlike most pedal it seems like the slave is the more lively of the 2 pedals. i will get it, it is just going to take me a while, the springs are hardly broken in. even 9000's tend to have a dead slave if the slave drive is kinked up a bit. they are a bit bouncy, but i dont mind it
