If you want something more affordable, something on the firmer end, I'd probably look elsewhere. The second question is, can you flip the DreamCloud Premier mattress? The answer is no, you cannot flip this mattress. It's only designed to lie with a support layer on the bottom, comfort layer on top, and on the very top, the cover

 Below that, a layer of soft memory foam as well to create some nice pressure relief in the top of the mattress. Below that, a layer of individually wrapped coils, very tall, very supportive as well. All that rests on a layer of base foam. What does all this mean? First off, speaking of cooling, you have a lot of room for airflow with the coils here, also breathable cover, shouldn't be a bad match for hot sleepers

 Some plusher layers on top, good with pressure relief for my shoulders and my hips. However, moving to my stomach, it is a medium-firm mattress, not quite firm enough for me as a stomach sleeper.  Typically, when I'm looking at a mattress with memory foam layers, I want to see that they're infused with graphite or some sort of cooling material to help dissipate body heat. These were just traditional memory foam layers and memory foam does have a reputation for trapping body heat. So if you're a very hot sleeper, I might recommend choosing a different mattress. And also, I don't think that this is the best bed for side sleepers

 So that's what gives this bed its bounce. It gives you quite a lot of lift and it also adds a lot of durability. And then right below that we do have a layer of support foam and that just kind of keeps help keep the mattress together and it adds a bit of durability so that the coils aren't rubbing up against your bed frame.  I Want to be clear that I'm not feeling in any way unstable here though. and I also want to point out that relative to most all foam mattresses again, particularly the ones that contain a lot of memory foam, this is actually less dip than we're accustomed to seeing. And you particularly notice this when I lay down on the edge of the mattress and I always get my shoulder blade right on the edge to be consistent. And what I can tell you is that I feel relatively stable here

 And then the third thing they've done is in that same top layer, they've used gel swirls, which again, gel is a conductor so it can help pull that heat away from your body a little bit. and I Guess the last point I would make relative to a traditional memory foam mattress is that this mattress doesn't conform to your body quite as closely as certainly as most memory foam mattresses that have four and a half inches of memory foam would and that has to do with this this quilting layer on the top which which by definition due to its undulations introduce greater points of contact between your body and the air which allows heat to more efficiently escape your body. So all think all those things being factored in this mattress in general if not going to sleep as hot as many other memory foam mattresses like it. Another concern for some people is the degree of natural materials in the mattress or maybe just the lack of harmful chemicals

 In terms of the cost, the current price of a luminous mattress in a queen-size is 1099, and on top of that, you're going to pay a $99 delivery charge, and you also have the option of adding a matching foundation or what some people might call a box spring although there aren't any springs in it for an additional two hundred and fifty dollars. And in terms of what you're getting for that, you're getting what's billed as a twelve inch mattress, but it's actually more like a 13 inch mattress when you consider the additional inch of loft that the company really doesn't give itself credit for. And at the top of this mattress, you're getting four to four and a half inches of what we would consider to be premium comfort and pressure relieving interior. Specifically, that memory-foam that we talked about

 It's not surprising there being four and a half inches of memory foam in the mattress that there wouldn't be pressure points I would I would say the memory: the pressure relief may not be quite as good as it would be if the memory foam were up on top without this quilting layer, but it's still very good. Pressure relief and I don't expect pressure points are likely to be a problem for you on this mattress. Now let's get into some of the more preference based characteristics of the mattress and the first one we're going to tackle is what we call responsiveness.  Below that you're gonna have your main comfort layer, a thick layer of gel infused memory foam. The gel is going to help with cooling, it is that very slow-moving memory foam so it kind of has that quick sandy feel. overall. Beneath that a layer of high density memory foam

 and these are really important because you don't want any pressure build up on your shoulders and your hips when you're side sleeping and this is looking really good to me right now. I'm just seeing some yellow and some green on my shoulders and my hips. It's a good match for side sleeping no red on those areas so should be a good match for you as well as a side sleeper and finally moving to my stomach Here Again, this is really that important for pressure relief, but just looking at it all the same, some nice even blue across most of the mattress and also under my, uh, my rib cage. there's a little bit of green, not too surprising if you sleep with a partner
