 So hope you liked the video. If you're at all interested in the DP series, do some more research. Make sure this is the turntable for you. This is definitely not like a beginner's turntable or, you know, a casual hobbyist because you're going to want to use something like this rather frequently to keep it, keep it warm and keep it, don't put it on the bench

 The way it's running right now is perfectly fine. It does not need any new lubricant there. The tone arm is sitting on ball bearings and those have been, those have new synthetic lube on them. And these are the motor controls

 I do have loudness on, so upper-lower band is getting emphasized a little bit more. So, and then let's see, I have my bass in trouble and neutral, so it does pretty good. It still does pretty good. I would say that this deserves a really good stylus

 So what will happen is you'll have a tone arm behavior where it'll come over and it'll hang and then it'll slowly let down, but move backwards. Okay. Those are voltage issues. Or if you have it just set here and hold and it won't drop, that's a voltage issue

 Along the way I buy and sold many town tables like high-end Microseki town tables, also the vintage one, also Marantz TT15, all manual tables and I don't enjoy manual town tables, it may be a bit sonically a bit more you know better by using newer town table but you know I compare the sound quality back to back, it's not that big advantage by using those modern manual town tables, so I buy them you know and then I end up selling all of them because I enjoy my music with this automatic town table than all those manual town table, all I need is I have to enjoy my music, so this is the town table that I enjoy the most. This is how I change the cartridge on this town table, at first lock the tone arm and then unscrew the locking screw and you just pull it out, this one is DL301 Mk2, just slide it in to the slot of the tone arm, secure the locking screw and unscrew the counter balance. This is how I adjust the tone arm, usually I bring the counter weight all the way forward and gradually move to the back to balance out the tone arm, now tone arm is in balance, all of these balancing have to be done while the town table power is off because this has the electronic or servo control tone arm, once you get the tone arm balance just turn the power on, tone arm will go back to rest in place, so that's it, it's very quick and easy adjustment, this is one of the easiest tone arm to adjust properly, after I got the balance tighten the screw of the counter balance and I'm all set, it's good to go. So first of all I have to unlock the tone arm and then turn the power on, LED light will turn on, that one it uses to monitor the speed of the table and then I usually I clean the disc for right now for the demonstration purpose, I'm just gonna start it, then it goes to starting position and cue it and drop the needle, that's how it works

If I hit the repeat on, the green lights will turn on, when it's end it will go back to starting position and play all over again, now the cartridge is at the end and it'll raise it up and go back to starting cue position and it will play all over again, so that's the feature that I really loved, so another thing that I really love about this one is I can do the uplifter, locate the cartridge to where I want it and then hit this button again, it will drop and play the track that I want to play without touching this whole thing and then here's a speed adjustment, 33 and 45 adjustment is right here, so if I want to stop it, I just need to hit this stop button and then tone arm will go back to the resting position, so that's for the regular vinyl playback, so right now I have the 45 rpm a single disc, hit the start, look at it and then it automatically reads 45 rpm, it goes to proper starting cue position and start playing, this is like a wonderful technology from 1980s, so I'm gonna try to get to the end of the track to show you how the repeat button work with this 45 rpm single disc, this is amazing, I love the fact that I can play single disc over and over again without touching the toner, that's why I enjoy the most listening and enjoying my music, now end of the track, I have my repeat button on, it lifted up and then go back to starting cue position and play all over again and next one is I'm gonna try to play this kind of singles, this is a Ritchie Sambora I think, yep, so this is a single 45 rpm singles, so to play that I need these adapters, so I just put it on, just put the disc on and then let's start it again, you see it works wonderfully every time, doesn't matter what kind of disc I put on now it's playing, now I'm gonna try to lift it up and get to the end of the track, let's see how the repeat feature works, now let's get to the end of the track, my repeat button is on, now end of the track and go back to starting position and play again, I really love this 1980 technology that works great with my music listening, that I don't have to get up and cue and you know lift the tone up and this and that, I'm all about enjoying my music, I mean you know I can buy all the nice tables and all the fancy stuff, I mean they are great, in this hobby my main thing is I just need to enjoy my music, so this table is the one that always gives me my musical enjoyment, more so than many other turntables that I bought and resold it because you know too much work, every end of the track or any every end of the one side I have to get up and you know cue it and play it all over again, that's why I love automatic tables and then this one is super reliable, I had it serviced in around 2016, so this is the table that I enjoy the most, that's why you know music all about enjoyment, I mean not about what equipment I have, highly recommended table if you are tired of you know messing around with the menu or turntable, this one is easy to set up, easy to enjoy your music, just put a nice cartridge and it will reward you with a very good quality sound, this is a speaker that I'm currently reviewing, so CAF Q350, this review should be up next week, thank you for watching and happy listening.

I think I have a pretty good ear for detail though

After buying a new house and wanting an amp that had Bluetooth streaming capabilities, I decided to finally upgrade my modest setup. Went from Audio Engine A5 to these ELAC Debut References with LS 30 Speaker stands, added the Cambridge Audio CXA81, and upgraded my cartridge from the Ortofon 2m red to black. The turnatable is a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon and the Phono is a Graham Slee Communicator Gram Amp 2. 

First off let me say that Im not very knowledgeable about sound equipment and buy most my stuff on reviews and affordability. WhatHifi guided my decision making for the new speakers and amp. I think I have a pretty good ear for detail though.

3-4 years ago when I had my first setup, I was impressed how good music could sound over regular Bluetooth speakers. But this new amp and speaker combo is incredible! I'm hearing things I couldn't before and even my wife who couldnt care less about equipment was blown away. The first song I streamed (Frank Ocean - White Ferrari), I had no idea Bluetooth could sound so rich and deep. I cannot recommend the Cambridge Audio CXA81 enough, the build quality is like nothing I've had the pleasure of touching. The 2m black was installed a day or two after and I have to be completely honest, I haven't noticed such a significant difference that I can say it's worth the $500 (open box special price)

I should add another disclaimer: I haven't listened to my system above a volume that would require you to raise your voice, so I suppose I can't truly judge the 2m black.

At this point, I don't know why I would upgrade any further. I'm pretty sastified with everything and the sound is amazing. If anyone has feedback on the 2M black, please share. Everything Ive read said it's supposed to be levels above the red in detail.

Great looking setup! The stands look similar to the ones we use from Kanto with a smaller base.  I've reviewed both the ELACs and the Cambridge piece on my YT channel but haven't heard the Audio Engine' speakers yet.

New house, new components.

 It gets really complex with many overdubbed tracks of guitar sax drums and vocals less expensive turntables tend to fall apart on this cut, as they just can't pull all the information out. While i've obviously heard this sound better on some much more expensive turntables, this combo did just incredibly well for the price i have to say. After about an hour of listening to the new evo with the rainier, i felt this is one heck of an easy. Listen to rig compared to more expensive tables

It is lacking a very deep bass impact and it's not as dynamic as some in the thousand to fifteen hundred dollar table price range, but geez. It'S one incredible bargain for the price

 At the same time, many cartridges fail to track this properly, resulting in some distortion. Not only did the rainier evo combo track. This fantastically surface noise was super low as well. Next i moved on to the squeeze eastside story album from 1981

The turntable is well designed simple to use. Plays 33. 45, and 78 formats. One button to change between 33/45 speeds

 Recommend using a long nose pliers rather than fumbling with fingers. Plays and sounds great. However, found after plugging in the phono cable on the back of the player a second time, the right channel failed, then was intermittent.

Great Product, great sound, cool design, possible quality control issues.
