Garbage, I spooked up with this line and caught one fish and then had 3 bad backlashes with my spinning reels which never happens with any good line. I will use the rest as spool backing because I will not use it for mainline again.

 It really makes the line stand out during the night versus using a standard torch. Moving on to testing the actual break test, again, this is rated to have a break test of 19lbs. I have tied a length of this line with swivels at both ends and attaching those to my caliber and scale. Let's see how it performs

 It may have not reached the advertised break test of 19lbs, but at a diameter of 0.09mm, if you believe my caliber, then that is, personally speaking, still impressive. I will be doing more fishing line reviews as well as terminal tackles such as swivels, bait clips, and many more.

Can I recommend this? I do. That's why I feel it's important to know the actual break test (not the advertised specs) of lines so i can use them where it seems fit for purpose.
I only use 15-20lbs lines, with 18 lbs as my personal "sweet spot," as I believe this is sufficient for most fish species that I can catch from the shore.

Now this line might not have reached my 15-20lbs preference, but I will be using this for my light lure fishing so I believe it is sufficient.

Daiwa J Braid Grand 19lbs / 8.5kg Fishing Line Review

 I hope the seller doesn’t give me a hard time with the return and tests the line themselves.

 (Tested 8 times and scale was checked for accuracy) I was very surprised because Diawa J-braid Grand x8 has a great reputation for having actual breaking strengths well in excess of rated strength. Yet, the line I received broke at only 83% of rated strength. I hope the seller doesn’t give me a hard time with the return and tests the line themselves.

6 lb line breaks at 5 lbs

J Braid Grand gives greater distance than most premium brands (Berkley X9 is equal), with less maintenance and greater strength. I’ve tried Spider wire, Kanzen, X9, regular J braid, Smackdown, PowerPro, PowerPro SS v1, and Kastking braided lines to name several and the new J Braid Grand x8 is the overall best thus far.
