Sharp looking boots, but order a 1/2 to full size smaller.

 I returned them. The rubber sole on these gave the right amount of traction and cushioning, but could have been stiffer. It's easy to fold these boots in half, so your tarsels get pinched when your in a 'crouching on your toes' position.

 A size 8.5 would have fit too, but I like a loose fit in this sort of boot. I bought the Taupe with the red sole. Like the look

Love these boots. The only 4 star rating is because of how tight Clark boots are in the Vamp. That area that goes across your feet right before the toe box. Think right before the toes on your feet start to grow

 Some of the cons. The pros are that these are incredibly high quality. They are sturdy they're built well, the stitching is fantastic, the material is really really rock solid. I also love as a guy who's, slightly challenged in the vertical arena

 But if you do encounter those elements more, then i would highly recommend getting a pair of red wings. Um the mocto in oro legacy 877 or 875. again, they're they're, basically, sister boots uh give it a shot, they look awesome. They feel awesome, they're, high quality and they're going to last you 10 plus years easy, so big recommendation from me red wing boots, one of my favorite things, i'm mark quak

 I would stop right here and just say: hey, invest in one of these you'll be happy with it. It does cost a decent amount. I think these are about 300, but you can tell where the 300 is going like the stitching, the construction, the quality of the leather. So anyway, i all i'm saying is that if you're looking for a sturdy awesome boot, the mocto red wing is the way to go now

RED WING Moc Toes - LEGEND with a CAVEAT.

 The outsole will also lose it's tread quickly. Typically for this type of outsole, the traction will wear away in about three months. Red Wing has received complaints of the soft outsole, but they still like to maintain the original outsole instead of a vibram sole. There is a 875 version with the vibram sole which is worth it

So for starters, if you plan on breaking in these boots it is recommended you size down a half size. I do not agree with this, because in the process of breaking in the boots, if you ever plan on putting an insole in the boots for comfort, no insole will fit if the boots are tight on your feet. Also, there will be some friction between your heel and the leather inside the boot, causing a nasty blister on your heel if the boots fit tight when you try and wear them and break them in. The boots are already very stiff, so why create more trouble by having them fit so tight

It's up to you how much pain you want to endure with your feet.  For me, I put an insole in these boots from the jump.

This is uncommon in anything outside of an 877 where right above the welt right on the first half of the upper it's one piece of leather that wraps around. Where most people think that an 875 is just a cut down 877 but it's very clearly not

 And that's about it man, like the main annoyances are they take a long time to put on and your feet don't flex as much, because they're so like, yeah, protective and long shafted, but if you're cool with that, there's no going past the 877, this is one of, if not arguably the most iconic American Heritage boot, and it definitely deserves a place in the rotation of any guy who likes tough, cool ass boots.  So yeah, water and muck is not likely to make its way onto your feet. The break in is not as bad as other Redwing boots, which are kind of famous for a tricky break in. They're resolvable of course. The long shaft confers a feeling of protection and support and they look cool as well

 and apparel that's built to last and today I continue my noble quest to review every

 Red Wing Heritage model and I finally come to what many consider the ultimate Red Wing

 We're talking about the leather, the construction, why it's actually quite different to their

 This is the only 8-inch tall model that the brand puts out right now, it's not the only

 I mean this is the world's biggest boot.

 The biggest boot ever made on planet Earth is a replica of the 877 in the town of Red

 It's a literal boot with like actual leather, a cork midsole and everything and that's how

 They made it the biggest boot on Earth, it's size 638.5 I believe.

 The 877 is built with the same materials, process and quality as the 1952 original when

 This makes sense as the 8-inch long shaft nice helps to protect your lower legs and

 keep muck from seeping in when you're trudging through marshes and the extreme degree of

 stability the extra long shaft confers made it a favorite not just at job sites but all

 over the place, even as a casual boot, which yes is how I wear these boots.

 To compare these boots with the 875 and get some views for people searching 875 vs 877,

 I don't have the 875 but it's the same boot with different leather, I have a review coming
