 Saying it leaves a white cast is generous considering it makes you look like Casper. I wouldn’t wish this stuff on my worst enemy. I hate wasting so I’m trying to power through it, but it is truly awful. 

Asian Exfoliating Washcloth from Amazon: I only use these once a week in the shower because they can be quite intense. They legitimately take off a layer of your skin and it’s so satisfying and gross at the same time.

The Chemistry Brand “Glow” Oil: this stuff is witchcraft. I don’t want to be ghostly pale, but putting on self tanner is the bane of my existence. This gives a nice level of color and doesn’t fade in a weird, patchy way.

Bioderma Atoderma Shower Oil: where do I begin with this? It smells like what I imagine all French women smell like. It has the nicest fragrance without being too heavy. It’s perfect for shaving or putting in a bath.

[SHELFIE] My skincare routine for my face isn’t interesting enough to post on here, but here is what I use for my body.

 Use a fragrance-free moisturizer without silicones, e.g., dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane. Avoid plant oils

 Instead try a mild foaming cleanser like the one from Neutrogena or CeraVe SA cleanser (this has salicylic acid but it won’t stay on your skin long enough to cause further irritation). These cleaners tend to work better for people prone to closed comedones and clogged pores. Use a fragrance-free moisturizer without silicones, e.g

 Avoid exfoliating - tretinoin, AHAs, BHAs - for a week or two and aim to simplify your routine so that you can identify the irritant that’s causing the rough bumpy skin. Skip the creamy cleaners and lotion-like cleansers like the original Cetaphil. Instead try a mild foaming cleanser like the one from Neutrogena or CeraVe SA cleanser (this has salicylic acid but it won’t stay on your skin long enough to cause further irritation). These cleaners tend to work better for people prone to closed comedones and clogged pores

- Wash and condition your hair before your body, and don’t let your hair touch your back after you get out, especially if you put products like leave-in conditioner in it.

If you’re still not seeing results, try Differin. Switch to the most inoffensive body wash you can find—maybe Vanicream—and use the lotion applicator to apply a thin coat of Differin on your back. 

You could also try sulfur soap and tea tree oil body wash, but these will seriously dry out your skin. If you do that, try moisturizing your back with a thin coat of Vaseline.

 Do this for two weeks and see how much improvement you notice. Pair it with soap with zinc (Vanicream Z bar) with just a washcloth for an all-over cleanser and again, give it two weeks, and take a photo of your back every day so you can accurately measure progress.

 I still needed to do my Vitamin C routine, so I did that. And yeah, this is what my skin looks like right now in morning. Day seven: my skin seems significantly less red than the night before, so I'm really happy for that. Um, the Vitamin C is really doing its work by brightening and evening out my redness

 So this is the eighth morning and it's my last day of doing the Vitamin C challenge and this is my final results. I definitely see that my skin is definitely looking better than before, especially one side of the face. It's definitely less hyper pigmented and I know it One week is not going to do much, but it is working because I see a little difference and I'll continue using this product because I really like it and hopefully we see some good results by like the three month mark you.

 All right. So I'm just gonna top it off with moisturizer and call it a night tonight. Guys, this is Day five in the Morning update and this is what my skin looks like. Without anything on today, I really see a difference in my skin

 Yeah, so I'm just gonna go in with four or five drops. As usual, I'm just gonna pat that in to my skin. I noticed that people have been experiencing a lot of like masking which is like inflammation and growing. You know, acne under a mask from using the mask for too long

 I’m also in the uk and got a vichy vitamin c serum from boots which was much cheaper and I thought did a good job of lightening some of my darker spots ! Just looked it up and it says 15% vitamin c. Both the skinceuticals one and the Vichy one have quite a sticky texture which I don’t really like but I have seen results. People love melano cc vitamin c which I also tried.

So far I am liking it, my skin is feeling soft and more even toned and brighter, but going to wait until I’ve used the whole bottle to decide whether It’s worth the price tag.. For those with leftover red marks from acne (PIH): Melano CC Essence. The packaging keeps the vitamin C stable for a long time, unlike traditional dropper style packaging from other brands. It’s gentle and feels oily initially, but after two minutes it feels like you didn’t even put anything on your face. Results aren’t instant, but after a month of daily AM use my acne marks had considerably faded

 Overall, it’s a nice refreshing mist. I don’t regret purchasing it even though there’s cheaper facial mists out there.

It's so affordable and one tube lasts forever. The packaging is great for everyday use and travel. Everything I've used from Rohto has been so good on my skin. Melano cc essence, shirojyun, even the hadalabo face wash - they're all gentle and kind to my skin

1 week difference with Melano CC daily. It's subtle but my hyperpigmentation usually takes months to fade, so this is huge to me. Skin type: dry, acne prone, south asian so very hyperpigmentation prone.
