Dermatologist Reviews: CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

I have combination, sensitive, acne-prone skin, and unfortunately this moisturizer isn't for me. I am not sure which ingredient(s) my skin doesn't like, but whenever I use this I get small bumps all over my face. I do really like the consistency and how quickly it soaks in, but I can't use it!

Great, but not for me

 And this can help you to remove the cleanser, sunscreen and or makeup better from the skin. So now go ahead and take a fresh towel and pat the skin dry. So once you have pat the skin dry, you can immediately move on to the application of CeraVe SPR Moisturizer. There's no need to wait in between

 Make sure that you're able to blend it all over evenly to have an even protective layer. And so I'm going to usually always stick to 2 to 3 pumps for myself. If you feel like that's not enough, use an additional pump as well. So about that much, more or less

 Then use about one to two palms or about a coin size amount of your cleanser in the palm of your hands and then massage it gently all over your face and neck for about 30 seconds to a minute. So once you have massaged it all over, you now can go ahead and rinse it off with lukewarm water to warm water by either just using your hands or, if you should feel the need, use a fresh and soft washcloth in between, which you can wet. And this can help you to remove the cleanser, sunscreen and or makeup better from the skin. So now go ahead and take a fresh towel and pat the skin dry

 And then apply it all over your face and neck. Please make sure to not get it into your eyes, nor you get it into your mouth. If that's the case, rinse it immediately with water. So once you have applied it all over evenly, you're going to leave it on the skin

 So if this sounds like what you'd be interested in knowing, keep on watching. So I got this for £9.75 from Boots and you get 52ml worth of product. I believe that this is the type we get here in the UK

 This really helped me because there was a time a few months ago, I was using Tretinoin, but at the moment I've stopped because I really don't need it again. It was so strong. Oh my goodness. My face had never been that dry in my life

 So this is, can you see how lightweight it is? It's not exactly creamy or rich. It's just, it's just right anyways, just perfect for me. It's not, it doesn't feel heavy. It doesn't feel greasy

So this facial lotion contains three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide amongst other ingredients which are supposed to be good on the skin.  In another video, he called pimples volcanoes. Not a compliment. I don't know how that's boosting your confidence. So anyways, what I quickly found out starting my dermatology residency is that everyone can benefit from moisturizers and protecting their skin

 And so if you have very sensitive skin, it is definitely advantageous to avoid any fragrance in your products because a lot of people have allergy to fragrance and it could be potentially irritating for you. All right, so let's talk about the La Roche-Posay Talarian Ultra Soothing Moisturizer here. So they have an eye cream and they also have a moisturizer for the face. So the interesting thing about the Talarian line is that it's formulated without fragrance, without parabens, without drying alcohols

 That's my role here. That's what I do. So having grown up with acne-prone skin and having to deal with that challenge throughout your life, what have you learned about moisturizers as far as ingredients that you need to look for or avoid at least? For me, it's making sure that it has no fragrances. Anytime I use a product with fragrances, it tends to break me out even more

 So those are better than unscented for you. So fragrance adds very little to a skincare product other than making it smell good. But as far as making it more effective and moisturizing your skin, it's not going to do that. So any added ingredient that's fragrance is an extra ingredient you don't need on your skin

Sensitive Skin & La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Product Review

I was in search of a thicker moisturizer, and I found this. First impressions were it being nice and thick, felt great on the skin, and kept it hydrated all day. The only downside i would say is I found that it does pill after a couple of minutes of applying. I’m sure there’s ways to get around that, but other than that I do like this product!

It’s pretty good

I love La Roche-Posay products and was expecting this to not disappoint but I found it to transfer to the skin around my eyes during the day. It also takes a little bit of effort to remove even with the waterproof mascara remover.

Didn’t stay only on lashes

 I am of course in the technology industry, I'm a very math-like person, and I take a look at what my viewers are reacting to, how they are finding me, what is bringing them to my channel, and there's one product actually that I was surprised by when I found out this was the most common way people have found my videos and found my channel, but it is a product that I have spoken about a little bit, and one that I'm noticing is getting a little bit popular, but I feel like is taking a little bit of time to kind of really get into that mainstream view, and even then once people do start talking about it, it kind of goes away as soon as it came. And that is La Roche-Posay Hydrating Cleanser, and I have spoken about this product a few times on this channel, it was one of my favorites, and a lot of you are curious about why I like it so much, if they should buy it, and if they should go for it, and I think it's a really valid question. So when I was buying it, I just wanted a cleanser that was very gentle, not a lot of surfactants whatsoever, it was just gonna leave me clean, no fragrances, no BS, and you get a lot of it for a very inexpensive amount, and that is exactly what you get with this cleanser. This is a $15 for 400ml cleanser, which is an amazing deal, and is very low in surfactants, it is very hydrating, it has a very short ingredients list, and I got it at my local Walgreens or CVS or Target

Products wise, I would recommend sticking to a really basic routine of cleansing (la Roche Possay caring wash is my favourite so far, but cetaphil and cerave have good, basic options too) moisturising (stick with the neutrogena if he likes it, although something fragrance free would be better) and sunscreen in the AM (really important if he uses prescription actives! I’m currently enjoying Hamilton every day face).

Oily, acne prone boyfriend in major need of help!

(for some reason the Tolériane Sensitive Cream is listed as a new release, I'm not sure why since I've used it myself in the past so it's definitely not new). Formulaton wise, it has the typical LRP blend of shea and squalane

 And as you could tell, it was white. Now as far as applying it goes, I used about a dime size for my entire face. And this one you can use both morning and night. It's lightweight enough to apply under your makeup and stuff during the day, but yet it's hydrating enough to apply it at night as well for an overnight cream
