 We have it at a medium on our scale, which means it should be generally accommodating for all sleeper types back, stomach, side, and combination. Now, a medium firmness isn't necessarily going to work for everybody. If you are a strict back sleeper, you might want something firmer. If you are a strict side sleeper, you might want something softer like the Casper Nova mattress, But medium firmness works pretty well for everybody, especially for combination sleepers and couples who need to accommodate more than one sleeping position

 And like I mentioned at the very beginning, this is the most expensive mattress that Casper makes. For a queen size you're looking at about 2 700 bucks, which is pretty expensive in the world of online beds. It puts it up there with the higher end beds from Purple and even some tempur-pedic mattresses, but it will go on discounts sometimes. Right now they're running 10 off, but they will often increase that discount around major holidays, so make sure you check the description for whatever we're able to find on the Casper Wave hybrid and that's pretty much going to do it for today's review

I know this is not a new opinion but I guess I just wanted to add my experience into the heap to provide some (maybe?) helpful info for others.

Just be warned guys, they aren't gonna make it easy. The bed wasn't even awful it just wasn't worth the money in my opinion. But for this "customer service" they need to change in some way!

If you want more of that slow moving feel, take a look at a memory foam mattress. And last but not least, if you are a stomach sleeper, this might be too soft for you

 Have something called air escape technology and it's gonna have some holes for air flow basically drilled into the surface now. also on top of a thin layer of cooling gels, it's gonna help with heat dissipation and with cooling below that you've a layer of natural latex foam you can see very very bouncy bounce back into place very very quickly. It's gonna add some overall bounce to the top of the mattress. It is also gonna have air escape technology holes in there for some more airflow

 In the top layers, they're all three layers. A lot of airflow, a very breathable cool sleeping mattress. And last but not least, I think it's probably the better choice for side sleepers. Had some more soft comfort layers on top of the mattress

Casper Wave Hybrid Mattress Review - Is It The Best Casper Mattress?

 I don't think when I lay on it that it feels like laying on (or in) a cloud or something, it's too firm for that. It offers good support. My initial impression was "huh, ok, not bad" and had a terrible first night's sleep on it.

 I say this because if you go looking for reviews, or other info, you might find yourself reading about the hybrid mattress and not this one.  Why Casper Wave? ---- Getting a mattress is a big investment. What attracted me to the Casper Wave is that it's supposed to be their best offering, and they say it is for people who have aches and pains and want the best support. I do intense workouts regularly and have aches and pains all the time, and getting older doesn't help either

 After a few nights I got more used to it, and it's been almost 3 weeks now and I've grown to love it. I think it's hard to say that a mattress is 100% responsible for some of these positive changes, but I've noticed that I've been sleeping better, sleeping on my side is more comfortable (no more waking up with achy shoulders), and some chronic low back pack seems to not be bothering me as much. I always expected my dream bed to feel like laying on a cloud, and this doesn't feel like that, but whatever it is is great because I've been sleeping much better.  Another opinion - the S/O loves a firm mattress and found this to be a little soft for her liking, but has quickly gotten used to it and has been sleeping great as well

  Temp --- I'm a warm sleeper and I don't think this mattress is COOL (especially compared to the 1st gen purple), but it's been fine. I haven't been waking up feeling too hot or anything like that. I've been sleeping with a top sheet, thin comforter, and a weighted blanket and not felt too hot.  So the big question -- is it worth it? I think it depends on your situation and what you're looking for

 you should find that this will sleep quite a bit cooler. Additionally, you don't sink super far in so you will find that you have more of a sleeping on the bed, but you still have good pressure relief. It still was soft enough for all three sleeping positions, but you're not sinking in super far Where you're going to get super hot. You're not totally engulfed by the mattress and what helps with that is the coil unit and that latex layer helps kind of keep you up a little bit without sinking in super far

 it might be five years from now that as the mattress breaks in, you will get softer. So on the firmer side of medium is typically if I were buying a mattress what I would buy because it allows break-in and it won't end up being too soft for you because I'd rather be too firm than too soft anyways because you can always add you know, a small topper or something like that. but if you're too soft, you're kind of out of luck. So looking at any online brand, I'm kind of that that way where I would go for just a hair firmer than medium

 Now when you lay here, you are going to feel that it is quite a bit firmer in the center third of the mattress and that is going to provide excellent lumbar support and just additional support where most your body weight is going to be on the mattress anyway. So if you have a mattress that's really worn out, you'll probably experience big kind of dips and craters in your mattress where most your body weight is in that center third of the mattress. So this is really designed to provide that really good back and waist support and additionally longevity Wise, the mattress is going to perform really well because it has that additional support in the middle so you should see a lot less sag over time as well. And then you basically have your hybrid coil unit with a foam base on the bottom

 but if you're too soft, you're kind of out of luck. So looking at any online brand, I'm kind of that that way where I would go for just a hair firmer than medium. It's a really nice feel here. Um, I'm really impressed that you can that it's such a noticeably supportive in the center here

 After less than a year, this mattress is totally failing. The foam is sagging very badly on each side, but still firm-ish in the middle due to less use. It's to the point where my back is rounding in and hurting very badly. I have scoliosis, so this is really unhealthy for me, and I've resorted to sleeping on a foam mat on the floor instead, which sadly its better

 Their response was that they couldn't "see" anything wrong, and so as a result I'm basically out of luck. Just because they can't see it, doesn't mean it's not happening. Look elsewhere, ESPECIALLY if you have back issues and a good mattress is imperative for you

Failed after a year!

It's been two months now and while this is a very comfortable mattress to sleep on, I'm still getting whiffs of the chemically smell of the foam. I was hopeful it would go away in just a few weeks but it hasn't. I'm considering returning it but really don't want to go through the hassle.

8lbs (which I believe is the top comfort layer). Although 1.8lbs is not bad quality, given that this foam is at the very top I would not expect it to have all that long of a life. Maybe 2-3 years? Maybe more

After trying out a handful of different mattresses and understanding the ridiculous prices of some, I’ve come to the conclusions that 1) I prefer a medium/firm bed, and 2) I’m poor. I visited IKEA today and found the $500 Heston mattress (queen size). Curious if anyone has any experience with it, how it holds up, or any advice whatsoever. Thanks in advance!

my mother has severe spinal stenosis (several discs have broken down, she's had rods and screws installed with little benefit, as well as a torn glute repair. take care of your spines, kids.) she's 56, ~155, and sleeps on her back, prefers med-firm or firm. her gentleman companion says he's comfortable on whatever. while they were moving in together I bought them a zinus, warning them that it would break down fairly quickly and need to be replaced, and that it would be a pain when it did. the time has come.

she's up every night in serious pain, and sometimes doesn't bother trying to sleep at all. her job is very difficult and both emotionally and physically demanding, especially during covid. I don't feel like I can waste her time with a bunch of returns or DIYing something, though the zippered mattresses with layers seem doable.

she's willing to spend up to $3500 and is interested in latex or a latex hybrid for its lifespan. I'd like to avoid memory foam and memory foam hybrids because if the next mattress sags within five years I'm going to turn into the Joker.

currently looking at the Alexander nest hybrid or an Ikea hesstun mattress+good latex topper, since we live fairly close to an Ikea and a return would plausibly be easier than dealing with a mattress company.
can anyone point me in the right direction, or confirm my instincts?
