  Folks, this is a $42 wrist watch. And I think it is an incredible value for $42. So here are some thoughts and comments:  First, the nylon band is quite comfortable, much more comfortable than the resin bands found on most of the Casio G-Shock watches. The band seems stiff at first, but in short order it will soften up and contour to your wrist

  On the down side: The the leather ends that attach the band to the watch are pretty much completely worn out, but the fabric looks essentially new. I don't think it is ready to fall off my wrist, but the band is starting to look a bit shabby.  After 4 years of hard use and abuse it is time to replace the strap and possibly the battery. As I mentioned in my initial review, the cost of a replacement cloth/leather band and a new battery come quite close to the current price of a totally new watch (about $38 today)

 The timer, barometer/altimeter, alarms and displays are all still working as they should. The alarm is still loud enough to wake me up when needed. None of the functions have failed. The watch is still waterproof (I have not replaced the main seal/gasket)

Good, rugged and comfortable watch

 It's not a good choice if the main thing you want to be able to do is glance at it very quickly and see instantly what time it is. That said, the buttons work well and it looks like it can take some abuse. I've had lousy luck getting Timex watches to last, so if this proves to be durable, it's probably worth it even though I paid extra for features I'll never use.

the thermometer is useless because you're supposed to have the watch off of ...

 So, I tend to not wear it when I am warmer that comfort allows. The back-light lasts only for what seems to be 1.5 or 1.0 seconds, I find myself pushing it more than once to see the items I am wishing to see

Exactly what I needed/wanted in a digital watch

This watch is smaller than the 50 mm I expected but the quality look and feel makes up for it. I presume they measured side to side including the sensor on the left side of the crown. Numbers are smaller than expected in the face of the timepiece but clean and clear. Strap is 100% great

 I replaced the battery and it worked for about 12 hours, then died. I replaced the battery again, same results.  Since it is past the 1-year point I'm not even going to bother contacting Casio. From what everyone else says it would be a wasted effort

38mm with the calibre 400 and I believe 2 firsts in the Diver 65 line: a gradient sunburst dial and relief markers on the bezel. I feel Oris has really upped it’s dial game with this watch and the recent Cervo Volante Big Crown Pointer dates giving a modern element to these vintage inspired watches. Oris creates a lot of limited editions, but they seem to constantly try new things with them which is really cool to observe, what to you think?.

 It's definitely a dimmer application, but it's still plenty legible. And I I love the font. I I actually really like this style more so than the newer dials, and I like those as well. But this one, yeah, it's pretty wild

 This watch only is a hundred meter water resistant. I know that might confuse some people. Dive watch: only 100 meters? What the heck? Well, it's still 100 meters and it has a screw down crown so you're going to have a nice solid 100 meter water resistant. You're still going to be able to go swimming with this regular everyday use

 I I actually really like this style more so than the newer dials, and I like those as well. But this one, yeah, it's pretty wild. Our taste change? three years. I would have never wore one of these, and now three years later, I'm actually considering picking one up

 This typically ships on either our bracelet or in this case. I think this one came on a tropic strap, but Neil must have wore the heck out of that. Switched it over to this leather strap which is suede and plenty worn. Again, kind of cool

Oris Diver 65 (three years later, it’s better)

After posting my oris 65 about one week ago on Reddit and asking recommendations where to buy good quality nato straps I went with Watchgeko. It arrived today after 6 days which is quick considering brexit and delivering it to Europe :). But this one really hits the spot in my opinion with the Bordeaux? Red and bronze.

-Ideally 38mm, absolutely no more than 40mm (48 L2L), but ideally 38mm. -On a bracelet that must have female endlinks; the more taper the better. -Blue, or blue elements on the dial or bezel. Runner up is the Oris Diver 65; just don’t love that it’s 40mm

 Okay, so now what I'd like to do at the end of all these videos on this channel? just kind of unpack things to consider when looking at this piece First, looking on some of the points of criticism of this piece and things to consider: 100 meters of water resistance. I could see that being low for certain people, but I think that's very rare. I think 100 meters of water resistance is perfectly enough featuring in that screw down crown. I think most people don't take these watches actually diving, and if you do, there's going to be other places you're going to want to look, so just something to consider there

 This movement's gonna operate at 28 800 vibrations per hour. Four Hertz features hacking, so stopping the second hand and pulling out the crown in the farthest position also features hand winding and has a power reserve of 38 hours.  With that 100 meters of water resistance and just to address it, I could see this point being a bit of criticism being labeled as a diver, but I think arguing the semantics of whether this is a diver here kind of falls short considering the Iso 6425 certification actually only requires 100 meters of water resistance to qualify to be a certified diver. Now, Auras has been using Solida movements for quite some time, and to be honest nowadays I am seeing these just as much if not more than the Edit 2824s. The movement, like the Etta in which it competes with, is going to offer great reliability and serviceability. Despite being hidden from view here, this movement does come with kind of that standard works by Aorus being pretty straightforward with this utilitarian style finish, while featuring that custom red rotor that basically is a hallmark of the brand at this point

 I think that general range will be the area in which people will kind of enjoy the wear of this piece, with both of the low and the high on that range coming really down to personal preference. Taking a closer look at the case, it comes with a brushed finish across the lugs on the front and then polished along the side of the case along the case of the three o'clock the Diver 65 features a screw-down crown that helps with the extra security.
