  Folks, this is a $42 wrist watch. And I think it is an incredible value for $42. So here are some thoughts and comments:  First, the nylon band is quite comfortable, much more comfortable than the resin bands found on most of the Casio G-Shock watches. The band seems stiff at first, but in short order it will soften up and contour to your wrist

  On the down side: The the leather ends that attach the band to the watch are pretty much completely worn out, but the fabric looks essentially new. I don't think it is ready to fall off my wrist, but the band is starting to look a bit shabby.  After 4 years of hard use and abuse it is time to replace the strap and possibly the battery. As I mentioned in my initial review, the cost of a replacement cloth/leather band and a new battery come quite close to the current price of a totally new watch (about $38 today)

 The timer, barometer/altimeter, alarms and displays are all still working as they should. The alarm is still loud enough to wake me up when needed. None of the functions have failed. The watch is still waterproof (I have not replaced the main seal/gasket)

Good, rugged and comfortable watch

 It's not a good choice if the main thing you want to be able to do is glance at it very quickly and see instantly what time it is. That said, the buttons work well and it looks like it can take some abuse. I've had lousy luck getting Timex watches to last, so if this proves to be durable, it's probably worth it even though I paid extra for features I'll never use.

the thermometer is useless because you're supposed to have the watch off of ...

 So, I tend to not wear it when I am warmer that comfort allows. The back-light lasts only for what seems to be 1.5 or 1.0 seconds, I find myself pushing it more than once to see the items I am wishing to see

Exactly what I needed/wanted in a digital watch

This watch is smaller than the 50 mm I expected but the quality look and feel makes up for it. I presume they measured side to side including the sensor on the left side of the crown. Numbers are smaller than expected in the face of the timepiece but clean and clear. Strap is 100% great

 I replaced the battery and it worked for about 12 hours, then died. I replaced the battery again, same results.  Since it is past the 1-year point I'm not even going to bother contacting Casio. From what everyone else says it would be a wasted effort

 I can see why so many people love the brand and there is something there that is. It's not just about the name, it's not just about this this heritage. It's about the design and the execution. It's about the thinness and the confidence

 It's really hard to describe exactly what I mean though I feel like the The Hamilton uh, design language and just looking at the watch, it just feels like it really exudes a level of maturity and confidence that you don't see coming out of a lot of micro brands or newer brands. You can tell that this watch is coming from a company that has been making watches for over a hundred years. You can tell that they have really been perfecting these designs and the cues that they put in here. They don't need to do anything flashy to get your attention, they just are executing a really well made watch

 It's about the design and the execution. It's about the thinness and the confidence. I think that they are really putting together an amazing watch, but they're also not giving you everything that you can get from a lot of other micro brands. HAMILTON Khaki King: Mixed Feelings. REVIEW

That being said, I’m fairly vain (despite my best efforts) and I bought myself this Hamilton Khaki King II to commemorate my second anniversary of sobriety. I don’t know a ton about watches but after some research I decided to spring for this as it seemed commonly touted as a decent automatic. So far, I really enjoy the way it wears, and generally everything about it aside from one major quirk: no AR coating on the sapphire dome.

Modern High-Tech Tribute To An American Classic

 That's a keeper for me. The black is REALLY black and the contrast with the numerals and hands is great. Nice hacking movement with tons of reserve. Quality strap

 My other is the Kahki Field Mechanical -- different movement (ETA) but it too has superb accuracy at 4 seconds per week.

Three hundred and Fifty Five dollars for an all stainless steel watch that slim enough to wear under a suit Monday to Friday This is a viable alternative to a diver. a dress watch, something a bit different on your wrist with bags of character, banks of history and heritage behind it. So there you have it: the Hamilton Khaki King a watch that I can now happily tick off my review list and one that did not disappoint

  I like the features on the watch very much, and wore it happily for the first day. The next morning, it didn't restart. So there was, at least, a problem with the power reserve; it had been only 6 hours. I carefully moved it to rewind, which did nothing, and only with a gentle tap would the movement start up
