The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VI is priced at a premium, but sets itself apart from the lesser-priced competition. Its lens doesn't zoom as far as the less expensive Panasonic ZS200, but what it lacks in telephoto reach it makes up for in brightness and sharpness. Fit and finish are also noticeably better—the Sony has a larger EVF, a tilting touch LCD, and a smaller, lighter design than the ZS200.

This may improve as I fully learn to operate the camera. Thus far I have found the zoom to operate well but difficult to "fine tune" the desired shot. Image quality with the zoom fully extended is very good, but framing the shot is comparable to viewing through a telescope vs binoculars; a tripod or other stability device is mandatory. The most glaring short coming of the camera is the absence of a panorama mode

This camera has to extend its zoom from a minimum of 15 mm (wide angle is so important for mountaineers to include all the mountain in the photo).

I bought this about a month ago. Still learning about it. lots of features, some i am using already. Have not uploaded as i haven't learned yet

i really want something pocketable and compact, with a lens that could give me a nice bokeh effect? i dont know the actual terms but im talking about the natural "background blur", and the camera has optical zoom too which is always appreciated

Canon should provide this information about this zoom number capability to consumers instead of practically hiding it. They sure would sell more of these cameras. For this reason, I have to take one star off and give this camera four star. For me, zoom is THAT important! I don't appreciate Canon's not mentioning it

You have to decide for yourself if the 8X zoom is worth the slower lens speed and much higher price. The attached photos were taken from several miles away from downtown San Francisco and show you what 8X zoom can do. For you social media types, the WiFi feature has always worked great for me. I use the Android smartphone app and cannot comment on iphone

i needed it for videos and it doesn't do the job well and the pictures r all so not clear

Video performance was really, really good. Completely blew away my Canon 6D. The only downside is that an external mic jack would have been nice, so the sound could be as good as the video. The internal mic is decent, though

I have just discovered that my Canon PowerShot 610HS did not have a battery charger in the box. I bought the camera November 2016 and just now realized the battery was dead. I am not even sure what kind of charger is needed.

why? 1) it is like any other point and shoot camera, lots of out of focus. For the $1200 shelf price, it better be focusing better and faster than that 2). Battery life (but ok since is it a small battery) 3) No external battery charger? Really ? For the price we are paying for it, it should have one. but no, we have to buy at Amazon for $40
