I like it once it was set up. Set up could have been easier; instructions somewhat opaque. I use AirPrint which is nice so no need for outdated driver support which is why I replaced my other (perfectly good except Canon did not provide driver support anymore) printer. I don't use Fax so no need to spend more for that antiquated technology

Good Printer for Price

It took me a few months of having this printer to realize that for it to really be useful you have to do two things.  First, it MUST be connected via Ethernet and not WiFi if you want to use it as a network printer. It is advertised as a wireless printer, but as far as I can tell this feature is absolutely useless because any wireless print won't wake the printer up from the sleep mode it enters after some comically short idle timer. Sure, you can go wake the printer up manually by pushing a button (although this was a crapshoot in my experience from half my devices) but this defeats the point of having a network printer that you can put in a centralized location

 It is advertised as a wireless printer, but as far as I can tell this feature is absolutely useless because any wireless print won't wake the printer up from the sleep mode it enters after some comically short idle timer. Sure, you can go wake the printer up manually by pushing a button (although this was a crapshoot in my experience from half my devices) but this defeats the point of having a network printer that you can put in a centralized location. Second, there's a little paper catch that you MUST flip up if you don't want the printer to just spit your pages over the floor

 WiFi is the printer's downfall. I initially set the printer to use its built-in WiFi connection. This is not that hard to do if you are versed in doing such things, and everything worked well for a few days. Then every few days, I'd wake up, go in to feed my cat, and find that the printer had taken itself offline

 You find out this has happened when the mellow green pilot light on the printer gets inflamed and turns bright orange/yellow. A bit of online research indicated that many other people have encountered this particular design flaw. The solution to this problem is to run an Ethernet cable from your router or gateway to the printer and use the printer's hardwired Ethernet port. I bought a cheap, 50-foot Ethernet cable (about $10), connected the printer to my router with it, and it's been happy ever since

 (The printer doesn't communicate at Gigabit speeds, so a cheaper, thinner Ethernet cable will work just fine.) I bought my used printer for $80 from Amazon, so I feel my money was well spent to get a double-sided printer with a sheet-fed scanner. That's despite the WiFi shortcomings. I hope that Canon figures out WiFi in the future, but I suspect I won't need another laser printer to replace this one for at least a decade

Great print, bad Wifi

 I finally got the APPLY to work, but even with leaving the printer on for 24hrs, the installation didn't stick wirelessly. Not being able to print out the manual was frustrating. The needed odd bits needed to install were scattered throughout the documentation. Not graceful

 Unfortunately, it appears you need to set up the software using a laptop or desktop. )  (This is not touch screen. It's Alphabet Hunt & Peck. If I get this setup done, I'll write a modified review

After buying the cannon with ink cartridges for school and paying $50 for cartridges to only get maybe 60 prints before they were all empty, I switched to the ink jet. BEST decision ever. Set it easy worked right out of the box. Fast prints

If you want something cheaper than the Brother HL-L2325DW, get the Pantum P2502W. Like the Brother, this is also a print-only unit, so there isn't a scanner. Its document print quality is outstanding, and its toner cartridge yields a little over 2000 pages. It prints pretty quickly at 23 pages per minute; however, it takes a while to warm up and doesn't support automatic double-sided printing. Unfortunately, this printer tends to push printed sheets off the output tray, which can be inconvenient as you'll have to rearrange your prints into the right order. This issue can also cause misaligned prints, wasting more time and paper. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's an inconvenience nonetheless. If you want to save yourself the hassle, the Brother is a better choice. This model can get the job done; just be aware that you might run into some problems occasionally.

Pantum P2502W Wireless Laser Printer

 In this video I'm going to show you how to set up this printer.

 So I just got this printer and I just read the directions and set it up and it was pretty

 easy but there's some things that I should show you.

 So this is the printer you're looking at.

 It's the Pantom 2502W and so this piece comes detached and you basically have to snap it

 I thought that was a little bit difficult but not too bad and you can close it.

 The ink is in here and when you first get it you have to open this and then you take

 I've never had this type of printer before so I was kind of shocked by the size of the

 Well it did last time but usually there it goes.

 It makes like a really funny sound when you put the ink in.

 And it's important that you take the ink out when you first get it because it has all of

 So you're supposed to take all that stuff out and put the ink back in.

 The power cord goes into a power outlet.

 It's going to be good enough for my needs.

 And then it comes with the USB cord which I use to connect to my laptop.

 It also has some wireless options and stuff but I don't think I'm going to be using that.

 So basically you connect it to your computer.

 And then you have to install the drivers.

 And I was a little bit worried when I saw the CD but I had read the reviews and the

 reviews said that you don't need the CD to install it.

 So what I did was I went to their website.

 And you basically go to their website, pantom.com.

 You want to go to where it says service and support and then driver download file.

 And then you just download it and install it.
