 So that's why I'm primarily talking about Canon cameras. Okay, back to the video. So is the C200 worth it when those cameras are great other options and the R5 is coming? If you are a commercial shooter that shoots a lot of corporate stuff, a lot of doc style shooting, and you want good ergonomics, not too heavy or bulky of a camera, you want autofocus, you want RAW options, good codecs, internal NDs, all that stuff, then this is a very compelling option, especially at the reduced price. You should really look at this camera

 There's the option to get a C200B. Not for me, because I would really like that viewfinder, especially if you're doing run and gun type shooting like we do and having that extra point of contact for handheld stuff is great. The autofocus in this camera is great. That was one feature we were really excited about and that's why I'm not holding it right now and I'm shooting on it because when I do this, it tracks it pretty good

 We don't use this feature as much as we thought we were going to, but it is such a nice feature to have knowing it's there. It could be that I'm just so used to manual focusing on a C100 that I don't use this all that often, but when I do, it's great. For aisle walks at weddings, I usually shoot on like a 135 f2 Canon lens or an 85 1.4 Canon lens and it's so nice to be able to just focus on my composition, being able to get a nice tight shot of the bride's face, seeing the groom for the first time and the autofocus 90, 80% of the time does exactly what I want it to do

 Good size. I like where it's placed. But just the brightness, not the best. But nice to have the internal EVF, the viewfinder for bright sunlight situations

 Or you could swap over to the CFast card and record RAW at 4K, 12-bit, with 15 stops of dynamic range. This is amazing and has excellent image quality, but it comes with the drawback of massive files. The other thing I'm digging is the slow motion. With this one, you can get 120 frames per second at 1080, and the big upside here is that unlike my C300 Mark II or any of the others, this does not crop in on the image

 It is a fantastic camera to be running gun style. It's a great camera to be shooting handheld It's been an absolute dream to work with We don't balance this on a gimbal just because we have an FX3 So it makes more sense to run that on a gimbal, but it could easily be used on a gimbal And in terms of size and weight if you want to build it out like maybe you've seen in some of our other videos It is so modular it has capability of being built out into a Massive camera rig or you can shoot it in this sort of I don't call stripped down But sort of it's like out-of-the-box format You know you put a battery a lens a mic and an SD card in it And it's ready to rock and it amazing image quality just as is so fantastic size and weight number three Modularity just touched on this when I was talking about size and weight But as you can see there are just like an unbelievable number of mounting points all over this thing It's a very sturdy like body that you can really confidently attach things to it And then obviously there's companies like Tilta which we have for all of our cage and attachment points So you can get rails underneath it you can get the rail blocks on the top and it really can be built out into something Much much bigger and more robust with a lot of confidence so absolutely Tons of freedom you can even strip it down even more than this take the top handle off You could take the side handle off and it could still be fully functional with just the body and a lens Which is pretty cool number four recording options, so there are a lot of recording options on this But we generally stick to only a few settings We generally shoot in the XAVC L the long op setting at The UHD 4k either in 24 or in 60 frames depending on what we're shooting and that's generally where we live we it does It does shoot really good image quality for if you shoot it at 1080 Which is great news because there are a lot of times when we don't want big file sizes We don't have any interest in cropping and deliverables plan to be 1080 HD anyway So that's a nice option to have and if you shoot 1080 you get to shoot it in super 35 And you can punch in further with the clear image zoom that we'll be talking about later So lots of good options and now with the new firmware 2. So there you have it sony if you have a new firmware update coming add that Number five on the cons list is the mxf files that these record at so Mxf files are a little challenging to work with for our workflow. We are final cut pro editors So pro res is something we really value This is a camera

It's just keeps the file sizes a little smaller But the image quality is fantastic dynamic range is definitely a slight increase from our fuji films if you guys remember We actually didn't have any problems with image quality in the fuji films So we switched for a lot of other reasons, but this particular camera Is actually a slight step up, so we've been loving the image quality, and yeah, you will too, so no problems number two Size and weight this camera is famously small and even more famously It's lightweight

Sony FX6 One-Year Review | My experience and why we bought two!

Having used A7Siii and FX6 for work, I'm obviously a Sony fan boy. However touching on the battery life and AF performance. I typically get a full day of on and off 4k video shooting with about one battery (maybe two if it's an incredibly long day). Auto focus is beautiful and is very similar to the full frame FX6 and A7Siii performance

Hello, in Australia, these cameras are effectively the same price (2000AUD). I'm wondering which camera would serve me better in the long term, including which ecosystem has cheaper and better third party lenses.

From my research, it seems the Fujifilm has better colour science and is "more fun to play with", resulting in having a good result with less post processing. It seems the Sony excels in AF, but i don't think i'll be recording fast moving subjects often and as long as the Fuji is alright then it would be fine. The Sony seems to have an unlimited record time, and the Fuji has a 30minute one, which is unfortunate but not a dealbreaker. Is this limit only for 4k, or does it apply to 1080p as well?

Additionally, I'm curious to which one has battery life. And for lenses, it seems the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is available for both at a good price, but is there any wider lenses at a similar aperture for the Fuji (that aren't very expensive), as I would be using it in lower light conditions.

I wouldn't mind going cheaper but having a camera without IBIS when recording seems like a bad idea, unless i want to carry around a gimbal.

Sony A6600 or a Fujifilm X-T4 for a mix of photography and videography?

 It also has a V-mount battery plate that comes with it that I'm actually using the FX lion batteries instead of the newer ones I was using before. Now my audio sources are still going to be the Sennheiser MK416 and the Sennheiser G4 lavalier mic. Sennheiser I just find has really great audio and nowadays I'm focused on trying to get the best audio I can when I'm actually filming instead of having to make those adjustments in post, mostly because I'm not good at sound editing and you may find that somewhere in this channel later on in other videos. Now in terms of monitoring, I actually did make some form of a graduation

My considerations are as follows:

The primary selling point for me of the A7C is since its a full frame sensor and its Sony, they have a wide selection of lenses even from 3rd parties like sigma and tamron.

The Canon R7 on the other hand, has valuable features like 4K 60p 10-bit recording, dual SD card slot. It being a new RF-S mount camera, there's very little lens options available and there seems to be lesser in the RF lens department when compared to Sony and their 3rd party lens manufacturers.

I'm not sure if I should even get the kit 18-150mm lens which is bundled with the R7 and simply go for the RF full frame options just to be on the safe side for eventual upgrades to full-frame.
