Actually, it's probably 3 stops, but say 2 to be conservative. Believe it or not, ISO 6400 is actually usable! The 90D with a 300mm lens is perfect for hand held wildlife thanks to the crop factor the 300mm becomes a 480mm which gives me a ton of reach in a kit that cost less than $1800 and isn't a huge 500mm on a full frame where the animals will be gone by the time I get the tripod setup.

I can't wait to see what Nikon brings out to replace the D3! One thing I would like Nikon to do is bring out an equivalent to Tamron's very useful 28-300mm, non-DX compact zoom lens (so yes, it works well with the D3). Honestly, I feel like full frame is overvalued, especially for non-professionals who don't need the best of the best to make max profit. That being said, they are rather close, in size as well as in price. I'd usually go with MILC over DSLR, but that's a personal thing and your opinion or feelings might differ, but I assume you don't have a preference, otherwise you'd not be asking the question. If you get FF lenses for better quality, then size doesn't matter, they'll be close

As with anything, I feel like you just have to list out your requirements, figure out your price point, and then see if Equipment X checks all the boxes. 90D is certainly a quality piece of gear, just have to see if it fits everything.
