After 1 year working with the Ooni Koda 16 I'm ready to share my #1 tip for successfully pursuing your pizza dreams. Give the oven at least a 30 minute pre-heat regardless of what style of pizza you are planning to bake in it. Even if you plan to bake at a lower temp, the oven still needs a FULL preheat! Just because your temp gun is reading high temps it doesn't mean the oven is ready. 20 minutes is not enough, confirmed!

However, it is not the caliber of pizza over that the description makes it out to be. 1) The stainless steel construction, while sturdy, is still pretty thin and the oven does not hold heat like you'd expect it to. The description says it'll reach temps upwards of 700° and that's simply not true. Even with a brand new propane tank, the door installed and a heavy fireproof welding blanket on top

It needs to have more temp control to allow the stone to crisp the pizza and not burn the topping and edge. With a 16 inch Pizza, you are almost guaranteed to burn the edges in an attempt to crisp the bottom of the pizza. This was even after 30 minutes of preheat to get the stone as hot as possible first, then turning down the flame (what little it can turn down).

Very upsetting that it’s was both cracked and chipped on two different ends. This stone will not last as long in this heat. Very disappointing.

this hardly portable monstrosity has so far been worthless, destroying every Pizza I have made. Sure I could try to make tiny pizzas but that's not what I bought it for. Update.

5. Anyway, I think at $250-300 I definitely keep this, but at $410 its maybe priced a bit high. Either way I will be turning out some great pizza from now on!

I wish I could add an extra star for exceptional customer service. Great product, great company! Update - a couple of years later and I *LOVE* this oven! It took me a while but my pizzas are now really good and friends always ask for them. This little oven may be inexpensive, but it works very well and is durable -- and the manufacturer really stands behind its product. I couldn't recommend this more

I realize this is a new product, but how has their other ovens held up for you. Do they last 3 years, 5, years or 10+? The cheaper 16 models I'd be okay with 5-10 years, but this new model I would want something closer to 10.

Will now update the review after contacting Camp Chef directly. It was the regulator. They provided a replacement part, and it’s back to cranking out awesome pizzas.

Now having reported back on my second failed repair, they sent me an order for a replacement electrode (??) that I need to complete by now disassembling the ENTIRE OVEN. The directions shared with me quite literally say "please allow for at least an hour to complete this service." Again, why am I being forced to service my own Ooni?? I understand the value of attempting to fix the oven that I have, but why aren't there service professionals who can do this for me to ensure that it's completed safely and effectively? Not to mention the fact that I have to acquire the correct tools to complete this. Needless to say, I'm not happy
