 This little oven seems to have a really nice design when it comes to radiating plenty of heat. From both the cooking stone and the top of the oven., Much like a classic brick oven, the Camp Chef cooked this pizza to perfection in just about 3 minutes I’ll garnish. My pizza, with a little fresh basil, then it’s time to slice it up and dig in I’m, really impressed by how evenly this baked with only having to turn it once

As you read this please know that I don't write many reviews but I try to be extremely fair and objective in my reviews and know that I'm reviewing the product, not the seller, shipping, price, packaging, etc...  I am a well experienced (home) pizza maker with a certain set of expectations that this oven does not meet

 I was only able to reach 550° and hold it. Of course, as you remove the door to load/unload the oven the temp drops along the way. Only being able to reach 550°, you'll have to use some kind of a browning agent in your dough if you want that deep caramelized crust instead of a white floury looking crust. Taste is the same but appearance is very different

Not for Experienced Pizza Makers!

 I pre-heat to 650 and then dial back a little bit and the bottom still cooks to quick. Usually have to finish off the top of the pizza in the microwave. I will keep trying to tweak it and update this review if I can get the results to improve.

I really like the looks of this oven, it is very classy. I am having a learning curve trying to use it. I am burning the bottom of the pizzas. It seems to have more heat at the bottom than the top even when it is pre-heated

 Very upsetting that it’s was both cracked and chipped on two different ends. This stone will not last as long in this heat. Very disappointing.

worked great the first time heating to over 750 degrees, a little tricky but made great pies! Subsequent trials resulted in temps to a max of 450 degrees (no not user error-tried different canisters and used those canisters on other propane grills I have) Sad that I have to replace the regulator so soon.

It cooks okay but even on a 40,000 btu grill I can barely get it to 450 degrees and it does't get hot enough to brown the top without burning the bottom.  It needs a front door.  A shelf in front would help as well.

5. Anyway, I think at $250-300 I definitely keep this, but at $410 its maybe priced a bit high. Either way I will be turning out some great pizza from now on!

 It was difficult as parts of the crust were still flexible. Poor results, I do not recommend trying to run this thing at 900 even though it will get to that temp.  Second pie (topped with cheese and pepperoni) I removed the door and let the oven settle to 670 on the stone and 625 internal. Still had the issue of the bottom cooking faster than the top

 After another 10 minutes (20 total) the stone was close to 900 and the internal temp was pegged on its thermometer and over 800 on mine. The consistency across the stone was good, always within 20 or so degrees. After another 10 (30 total) the temps were the same as after 20. I then cranked it down to medium (or my estimation of medium as the dial doesn't quite line up) to see where it would settle to

  Second pie (topped with cheese and pepperoni) I removed the door and let the oven settle to 670 on the stone and 625 internal. Still had the issue of the bottom cooking faster than the top. I was able to lift the pizza up off the stone to finish the top, so my son ate that one.  Third pie (topped with cheese, onions, mushroom and uncured salami) the oven had settled a bit more to what I think its normal operating temp would be, and temps inside as even as possible

 So, we crank it up to high to pre-heat, then lower the temp down to about 500 for cooking. This has turned out quality crusts with evenly heated toppings.  2. Rotating the pizza is necessary

 even with consistent pie after pie use). I'm sure there's commercial units that cook faster, work better, etc, but for the price, this is an exceptional value and we are glad we purchased it. At our last event, we made 200 pizzas in this oven over the course of 4 hours, and this little unit did a bang up job.
