I've been riding a 10 year old burton blunt which is a flying v, its great fun but really exhausting in powder and wobbly at speed. I don't ride switch or spend time in the park so I want a directional board with good pop. I imagine the stiffness will be a really big difference.

 It's a great feeling board, it has a channel system which also means that the Blunt has a 3 year warranty. It's a true twin board with a centered stance and a flat top profile shape. The board is flat underneath and in between the feet with a rocker just outside of their channel system to where the contact points actually lift up. It's a great combination of both and the board will have a twin flex, the nose and tail flex the exact same and it has about a happy medium I feel of a flex rating of a 5

 Usually, you expect better cars from a full camber board, but this one holds pretty well, which is nice. As far as freestyle goes, buttering and things like that, it's really, really comes into its own there. The profile allows you to really press things out on the piste, no problem, and you don't really worry about catching, which is a really good thing as well. You won't get as much pop as you would with a traditional camber or maybe even the old flat base version, but you still get plenty

 This is the 2015-2016 Burton Blunt snowboard. Now, the Blunt has been around for a little while, but they've made a big change to it this year in that it is no longer a flat-based board. It now has what Burton call Flying V, so it's got a rocker profile in the middle, camber sections under the bindings, rocker sections towards the end of each one. That's a hybrid camber that Burton have used on some of their more high-end boards, and now that it's been introduced to the Blunt, that makes the Blunt actually the lowest-priced Burton board that you can have the Flying V on

 The fly core is wrapped in Biax fiberglass that runs in two different directions at 90 degrees and at 0 degrees. Again, the combination of the fly core and the Biax fiberglass gives a nice smooth, easy, consistent flex. The extruded base is going to be low-maintenance. You won't have to maintain or wax this thing very often

 Perfect for taking your riding to bigger features at higher speeds and if you are looking to level up your riding this season the sintered base offers some additional speed over the original artifact and this year rome have overhauled their impact plates under the inserts which are now made from woven flax fibers. These not only help to absorb some of the forces and bigger impacts from landings they add to the overall durability of the board in these specific stress areas without affecting the overall more playful feel and flex. Rome Artifact Pro 2023 Snowboard Review

 See, so then it was my knee. Yeah, I popped it up. I completely jumped over the kid that had a kid eating lunch. Yeah, snackables

 Okay, so here is the Rome Degenerati, Degenerati, Artifact Rocker, Degenerati Artifact Rocker. So it's a board I liked in the past and it's kind of a fun little board. You know, flat, kind of a like medium, medium soft flex, medium kind of in the between of there, real kind of soft, medium, medium soft in the tip and tail. As you can see it's flat to just a little bit of rocker

 And I could have done that all day. I just loved the way the board responded, you know, combined with the 390s. And it's got pretty good edge hold. It's got, I think it's got, let me see, I don't know if it has the quick grip or not

Rome Artifact Rocker Review

 This board is actually a really good carver. It has great edge hold on your toes and your heels. It really took me by surprise and I tried to throw a lot of weight into it on my heels and it just performed really well. I had a lot of fun on this guy riding high cascades parks

 The flex on this board is definitely pretty stiff. It takes a decent amount of work to make the board bend but that's also a big part of what makes it so lively and poppy. This board is actually a really good carver. It has great edge hold on your toes and your heels

 Hey what's up guys TJ here with Snowboard Pro Camp. Today we were riding up at High Cascade Snowboard Camp taking a look at the 2017 Rome Artifact Camber. Alright guys this is going to be a true twin freestyle snowboard. It has Rome's stay positive camber profile so full positive camber throughout the whole length of the snowboard

 As far as flex goes I would say it's rated about a six or seven. Definitely on the stiffer side of medium it's a pretty aggressive riding snowboard. It also has some other really cool tech in it. It has Rome's hot rod tech so basically just a fiberglass pop rod going right up the middle of the snowboard

2017 Rome Artifact Snowboard Review

 This board's fun for freestyle carves. Who's this board for? The jib rider that will hit bigger features and need some snap. Overall I like this board more than the regular artifact you get more snap it felt more predictable the sweet spot in the nose and the tail was a little bit bigger in my opinion it locked into presses better. It's just a more balanced park board that's what I really like about it
