Comparable boards, the Jones Ultra Mountain Twin, the Capita Super DOA, the Ride Helix. This has been my review of the Lib Tech TRS. Do you agree?

I love this Lib Tech. Yeah, I like the design. But anyways, great board

I am still rocking a Lib TRS from a few years ago. Have the Jones Hovercraft for deep powder days. Thinking of adding a new stick to the quiver.

What’s the must have new board this year?

I've been riding the same board in a 5.9. Super fun in all conditions, I've even had it out a few times when it was well overhead and it did decent. The real standout is Lib Tech's construction, it is literally bombproof without feeling corky like most alternative construction boards tend to be. The only damage mine has seen after 5 YEARS of use are some pretty deep pressure dings on the deck.

It handles those conditions better than anything I’ve ever ridden. My Lib Tech TRS with magna-traction was supposed to be the one that would be able to squash and crappy condition I was riding in but it just doesn’t compare. I remember seeing on here that people would say traditional camber hands the Ice Coast better than magna-traction and they were 100% right. I have complete control when I’m going down the mountain and the edge hood is unreal compared to anything else when whipping around a turn.

Don’t get the orca (not ideal for the riding you describe) and the lib tech C3 or C2x may be a better transition from your full rocker board but really doesn’t preform as well on hardpack and groomers which imo should be the focus of the newer board from your riding style. So I’d just look for rocker/camber/rocker boards like the YES hybrid (you could go full camber too).

I typically go to a local board shop that has had older boards from last season that are on sale. I've ridden Lib Tech and ride boards that i got under 400$. They are worth getting for sure.
