  Some reviews have complained about heavy electrical draw, but I've not experienced that. We live in an apartment building built over 100 years ago, with not great wiring, and I have had no problem with the printer.  I give this 4 instead of 5 stars only because 1) it takes longer to print the initial page than my former printer (though it then kicks out additional pages at a fast clip), 2) the initial page sometimes (but not always) has an annoying small crease running halfways up the page (I need to trouble-shoot what's up with that), and 3) it is kind of loud in printing. I consider those minor issues

  Set-up was much more of a breeze than I expected. I did go to the Brother website and downloaded the latest drivers, but also used the included CD of drivers and set-up wizard and it found our home network Wi-fi and that was that. We have my Mac and my wife's PC on our network and both work fine with it. We've even printed from our iPhones and my iPad to it, which was a nice touch

 I could have replaced the drum unit, but that would have cost more than half the price of this new printer.  After a month of use, I am happy with this printer, which was the closest I could find to what I had previously had. I mainly chose this model because it came with Wi-fi built in (the HL-5250DN did not, and I had it hard-wired with ethernet to our home network), and it had the option of using super high-yield toner cartridges, which many other models did not. On the whole it appears to be another winner from Brother

Do not let these 1 star nonconstructive reviews discourage you from buying this printer. Don't waste time and get yourself one of these workhorses and let this printer work hard for your money. If you want something cheaper than the Brother HL-L2325DW, get the Pantum P2502W. Like the Brother, this is also a print-only unit, so there isn't a scanner. Its document print quality is outstanding, and its toner cartridge yields a little over 2000 pages. It prints pretty quickly at 23 pages per minute; however, it takes a while to warm up and doesn't support automatic double-sided printing. Unfortunately, this printer tends to push printed sheets off the output tray, which can be inconvenient as you'll have to rearrange your prints into the right order. This issue can also cause misaligned prints, wasting more time and paper. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's an inconvenience nonetheless. If you want to save yourself the hassle, the Brother is a better choice. This model can get the job done; just be aware that you might run into some problems occasionally.

 Is it worth the price I paid for it? Um... if your power never goes out, you never have to reboot your wifi router, and/or you only print over a wired connection, then yes

I bought this to be a quick and easy to use, black and white laser printer. I need a printer available, and until my office gets rearranged and the new furniture put in place, my regular printer isn't available. I set this new printer up in my bedroom and read through the manual to get it set up to be available for wifi printing. (This was an absolutely non-negotiable requirement

 I don't know how to reset the counter so I can actually use the ink left in the cartridge like I could on the brother printers, and when I went to look for replacement ink, it's all a rip off. This is a black and white laser printer, the toner costs between $50 to $65 unless you want to pay the $115 for the branded one. My toner for the brother printer was around $18 to $26. The printer works great but the operational costs to keep it going are ridiculous

 I can deal with all that. But the thing runs out of ink quickly, it's really counting pages.  You can't use all the toner unless there's a way to reset the page counter, and when you do replace it, you're paying at least 50% of the cost of the printer in toner every time you have to replace it. I might just end up tossing this and getting a printer that is cost effective to operate and allows me to use all of the media.

The wireless has never worked

 $35, free shipping, that's the slow shipping. But still, you'll get a good printer. Like I said, this is going to be hooked up to my desktop, which is a Windows 7. I hope it will work

 Wireless function without a hitch. Printer speed ranges from 20 to 25 pages per minute depending on the amount of text and graphics on the page. This printer responds quickly and prints fairly fast. And I'm going down here

Pantum P2500W Laser Printer, a brief Review

 As I said earlier - for $90 you can't expect perfection but this one comes pretty darned close. Quick warm-up, quick print time, and automatic sleep mode. It can take about 8 seconds for your first page to print, but after that it's as fast as any other home laser printer out there.

Installed this on Friday night - we needed a small, inexpensive laser printer - our inkjet printers kept drying out and were crazy expensive to replace ink cartridges. We don't print often - but when we need it, we need it. This printer fits the bill perfectly. Small size, good print quality, and toner cartridges are reasonably priced

 Setting up the wi-fi printing is a bit cumbersome, but once it's done, it's proven to be rock solid. You have to connect the printer to your laptop via USB cable to set up for wi-fi printing. Then you have to do this for each computer you want to have access to the printer. It's not intuitive but it works

 It can take about 8 seconds for your first page to print, but after that it's as fast as any other home laser printer out there.
