Hi guys! this is the Breville Je98xl juicer. We're going to test it by juicing some kale, carrots, oranges, and apples, but before we do that, let me tell you about some of the features of the juicer. Comes with this assist plug which is a great design because it's easy to plug in and remove. It has 850 watts of power, comes with a jug to collect the juice, and it holds about one liter or thirty four ounces

 We have a beautiful bunch of organic red kale and organic green kale and they've both been washed so we're going to choose the kale on the low setting. We were only able to get a little bit of juice out of the two bunches of kale and I have all of this pulp. So I'm going to try to reduce this and see if we can get any more juice out of it. So we reduce the pulp from the kale and we got a little bit more juice out of it

 The feed chute is three inches wide so you can juice some fruits and vegetables whole That'll save you some time on cutting up the produce. That's two settings: the low speed is for softer fruits and vegetables like melons and leafy greens, and the high speed is for harder fruits and vegetables like apples and carrots. The cutting disc is stainless steel and so is the mesh filter basket for spinning out the pulp. The body is very sturdy and all the materials that come in contact with the food are BPA free

 Like I said before, it has this large chute in here and then right here is the strainer with all the blades down here. it has a lot of different blades and they are really sharp and they do go in different directions right down here which is great for getting the most juice out of your fruits and vegetables. and then we have this piece down here. This is the chute that your juice comes out of so I'm just going to put this all back into place and I love that this is so easy to assemble so you can see we're done

 So the takeaway from this juicer is it is going to juice your fruits and vegetables super quickly. You're not going to have any issues with things like carrots and harder fruits and vegetables, and if you're going to be using it daily, I feel like it's a really great option. I can already tell this is not going to be hard to clean um like some other cold press juicers for example. So if that works for you, I feel like this is a really great option

 It doesn't work for everybody. I like to take this end piece over here where all the scraps go, all the pulp goes and I like to put a plastic baggie in here. Um, that way you can put it in your compost, You can put it in your garden or whatever you do with your pulp and your scraps. Um, that way it's a lot easier to clean up for this section of it

 All right. So this is a centrifugal juicer, which means that has a spinning blade which breaks down the fruits and vegetables to extract the juice. Something that I really like about centrifugal juicers in general is that they juice a lot quicker and they're usually easier to clean to start out. I just this is something that works for me

 4. I took the advice of other reviewers and put a hard fruit or veggie in first, then packed in my kale and spinach then put another hard fruit on top. My best results were when I put the hard fruit on the bottom, packed the greens in mixed with a juicy fruit like a little pineapple, orange, tomato or lemon, then put a hard carrot or celery on top. I got the most juice with the least pulp using that technique

 It's darned quiet compared to my Vitamix blender!!! 9. Oh!! And I also mix wheat grass in with my greens when I juice. I don't know how much of the wheat grass just gets tossed in with the pulp but I'm putting it in the mix and hoping for the best!!!  Physically, I am so excited!!! I figured I would see if I could tolerate vegetables this way with the pulp and fiber removed so they would be easier for my beleaguered digestive system to absorb. I didn't know if I'd be able to deal with all the work involved with juicing since a side effect of IBS is also chronic fatigue.   There has also been little to no froth, so the froth separator works well.  Cleanup is fairly easy given what it does. For ease, I put a small plastic bag in the refuse bin, so I can just easily pull it out at the end (pulp can be used in cooking/baking/composting.) The included cleaning brush works really well on the basket

I do wish the canopy was a bit easier to clean on the inside (its not molded completely smooth and there are some crannies and a few nooks), but I don't know if those are necessary to the engineering of the juicer or not. It is easy to flush those out though with the faucet sprayer and/or a baby bottle/nipple brush

 Basically I wanted something quality, quick, easy-to-clean, not horribly expensive, and didn't produce a ton of foam. I know centrifugal juicers are pretty much entry level juicers, but I don't really juice enough to justify spending so much money on the masticating juicers. This model is a great entry level juicer though from my experience.  The build quality is pretty solid with no small parts prone to running away

Works fine but design flaw

Let me do this to show you something look: how clean and efficient that is, and I'm going to do another one. I'M going to show you see how it reversed and then once you remove your hand, what you can do is to activate the final spin, just put the lid on and press it down again and what it does is it actually gets all that extra pulp extract As much juice as possible from it, the other thing that's really nice is all the removable parts are dishwasher safe. 

 All the way to large grapefruit has a stainless steel housing and also has the spout, which is you can move it up, especially when you're done so that when you're done citrus juicing, it doesn't drip on your counter.
