I was disappointed by the range of distortion. It came close to Metallica type distortion, but still never hit the mark no matter how I tweaked it and my Les Paul Prophesy with Dirty Fingers pups guitar. I think a better option is to pay more and get a Line 6 POD which offers AMP models, a lot more effects and works great for recording via interface to computer to DAW.

Go cheap and you get a piece of crap that makes your rig sound like an old AM radio, if you want something that sounds pro quality your going to shell out at least $250.
