 If they don't have a games console or blu-ray player that is capable of converting dts to a different codec that is supported by the bose. When we tested the bose 900 for music, i did get mixed results. Some tracks, like electronic and dance felt like they were missing some detail in the mid-range, but then pop music and jazz sounded pretty impressive. I would say, on the whole, the bose 900 does perform better with tv, the music slightly

 I went through uh when testing this out, so i ended up getting both the bose soundbar, the 900, as well as the base module the 700. The 900 sound bar is really well made. That'S the perk comes with the hdmi cable, an optical cable, remote and the headset to set up the sound. It also comes with a power cable

 The best thing about it is the subwoofer subwoofer is clean, super great bass. The setup was super easy. You open the app i already connected mine to wi-fi, but that's pretty much what it is you open the app click set up something new. It takes a second finds it you add it

 It comes with a little remote. You really don't need it. [, Music, ] um, it's pretty slick, it looks great. It'S got like a mirror glass finish on top really well made

 The subwoofer comes with a power, cable and the woofer itself. It does not come with the auxiliary cable that you need to make it work to get. The signal from the sound bar sounds great. It'S honestly, probably the best part about this uh sound system

. If i were to review, i expect it would go something like this. The base module coordinates well with the bar in both style and sound. The surrounds are overpriced, stylish diet, soda cans that sound great for recyclables, but are just not serious enough to really complement the sound quality of the bar and bass module, get the bass module first

 Okay, let's jump in setup grab your phone download the bose music, app open it up, select the plus button, it's all hand, holding from there nothing too scary design and build just unmatched in class. A single high quality glass slate on top with two very understated: capacitive controls, the metal grille - is finely machined and wraps around the sides. Jagged edges and screws are nowhere to be found. Let'S be clear, not all metal grilles are fastened

 Looking aux ports is a sub out for your byo powered sub. It does work, tried it on my klipsch r100sw, not going to dig into the sound ramifications too much other than it's worth a try. If you have an extra powered sub laying around, i did prefer to leave the sub attached. When listening for my own pleasure, buying a bose sub will result in a more coordinated frequency, handoff for sure just going to leave it

 Otherwise, blu-ray players can typically recode your dts content to dolby with a minor, sound text. Sound adjustments, not a whole lot going on. You got center height bass and treble manual controls each giving you 21 levels to play with so limited in some sense, but taken together, you are given near two hundred thousand manual configurations, just combining those four. You have a dialogue mode, but no night mode, which i thought was something like standard

 For example, when watching movies dialogue often comes through the center, the smart, soundbite 900 does have a dedicated center channel as expected, and it performs really well with the neutral sound. So voices are clear and detailed. Now, if you want to use the soundbar for 5.1 content like movies or for gaming, then a clear and well balanced sound is important

 At the end, this soundbar supports iak or an extended audio return channel to play sound from your tv through the samba. The e part of iac means that it supports higher bandwidth audio with things like high channel counts or just formats that need more bandwidth with dolby formats. It works well, including dolby, true hd, which is often used for object-based formats and movies. Unfortunately, it doesn't support any of the common dts formats, though, which is a bit surprising and can be limiting, as they are also commonly used for movies

 This soundbar doesn't have a direct hdmi input, so this isn't an optional. The remote that comes with the samba is fairly basic, but works. Well, you can quickly change between sources and adjust the volume. The app is necessary for more advanced adjustments, though, on the bar there's an option to disable the microphone, but if you leave it enabled, then you can use the amazon alexa or google assistant

 Some bars that have low latency tend to do a good job, regardless of the signal, for example, the result for this soundbar is great and it is consistent, regardless of if you're, using arc directly from a tv or the optical input. Some people like to connect devices directly to their sambar and then pass through the signal to their tv. This soundbar doesn't have a direct hdmi input, so this isn't an optional. The remote that comes with the samba is fairly basic, but works

You can easily fix this with its included subwoofer level adjustment feature, though.

While its soundstage is good, there's a noticeable difference when you compare it to the Bose or the Sonos. The focus is good, but it isn't as wide as the competition, so you don't get the same sense of immersion from all angles. Also, its bass and treble adjustments didn't work on the model that we purchased, which is quite disappointing for such a premium bar. Still, if you want a feature-packed setup, it's a solid pick.

I first bought a Samsung T59 soundbar, which didn't cut it. The bass was not good. Replaced it with the Q800A, and it was like day and night. Great crisp detailed highs and super lows that you can feel if you want to crank it up

The only real negatives are Samsung's awkward and unfriendly menu system for setting the sound as you want it and lack of documentation about what the various setting do and which are better to use in what situations

Awesome sound quality with the bass I desired

 Two hdmi ends one hdmi, earc output, usb for service, a little network button, subwoofer pairing button and then on the very far end is the power input. Let'S just flip this around on the top center looks like there's a little led display volume up volume down, looks like possibly a mute button or cancel button and then probably a selection button or menu button. It does support dolby atmos dts-x with 11.1

 Speakers were more spacious, rather than coming from above my head. Keep in mind that the placement and the type of room that you have will impact the sound greatly. So the things that i heard or didn't hear might sound totally different in yours. One more thing that we've got to check out is the automatic room eq

 Okay, with the surround speakers, we get two power chords, one for the left, one for the right. Let'S take a quick look at these all right, so this is the surround speaker up front. I believe there's a full full range driver up front and i believe, there's another full range driver on the top for the atmos speakers. So this is going to be forward firing and then the driver up top here will be upwards firing for your rear, atmos height effects

At the time of me writing this I can grab a Samsung HW-Q950A for $999, or spend a little more on a Sonos Arc and Sub for $1,449. They’re regularly the same price and would have done Sonos but the low price on the Samsung really has me interested. Another point to the Samsung for me is my wife is considering getting a Blu Ray player and since most Blu Rays are in DTS:X the Sonos would be basically useless.

 Like I said, more surround and 360 atmos sound than many other setups, or even just about any other soundbar or basic home theater setup. But… I don’t think I would say more immersive. The bass is quite poor. The Sonos arc with surrounds setup even without a sub attached has better sounding and more powerful bass than this unit with the soundbar

1 and I don’t want a middle man from my devices to the tv. I will add that this may be partially the tv as the culprit. The setup I prefer works with the Sonos arc setup, but I have had some “handshake” issues with that as well from the Apple TV to the tv itself then to the arc. I’ve only noticed this once and it didn’t last long, but I do want to mention
