My recommendation would be to bump your budget just a little and get a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k. The 6k is a EF mount cine camera with a large sensor and uses the same batteries as your 5d2 and it unbeatable in a bang for buck. You could go for a bmpcc4k for just a little more than 1000$ but it's micro 4/3 and you would need an adapter for you EF lenses. Much better to get the 6k and get the larger sensor and native ef support

There are some downsides to the 6K version, if you're someone that wants to record in ProRes you can't shoot higher than DCI 4K. This is a huge bummer...
