 We decided to carry one, but they make a particular footprint. The copper spur ul to footprint for the tent and the footprint weighs in right. At seven point, eight ounces so for the entire tent, with the footprint weighs in right at three and a half pounds. So three and a half pounds for a nice through season, two person tent and again that's with the footprint

 You want to set up for me real, quick and show him the head room. It has plenty of headroom, so at night a lot of times we had a little mini uno deck and we would sit in here and just kind of play. Uno and [ __ ] around, and it was also great to get up in the morning, be able to fix your coffee right in your vestibule on a chilly morning. Sit inside have a cup of coffee eat breakfast get ready for another day of hiking

 So if you're one person looking at doing it excellent roomy tent for one person and to be honest, it's a pretty roomy tent for two people, so uh: let's throw it up for it and give you a little tour of it, alright guys! So here's the Big, Agnes copper spur ul all set up and ready to go. We have the fly on if you notice the fly has a double vestibule, so you have a door over here and come over to the side. We have another door, so you have dual entry, so it's perfect for two people or like I said it's also great for one person we know multiple people on the trail that carried the same same tent. We like to do our vestibule like this, so if you can see in here, snuggles is laying down relaxing and we always kind of kept our vestibule open like this

Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 Full Review

Regarding the question of floor size. Apart from weight, one of motivations for 'upgrading' from my 20 year old tent (that I also loved) was because my partner was insisting on having a bit more interior space, especially for the longer treks. Before purchasing, I measured out the advertised dimensions on my garage floor and saw that my old tent was well inside the boundary limits, the CS UL2 had plenty of extra width and length when compared. And yet on the trail, there wasn't as much space as expected

I've used the tent over several nights at mid-altitude, backpacking. The first thing you notice is the weight, or rather the lack thereof! 

I dropped 1 star because of the price (especially when adding the footprint), and I'm not entirely convinced the advertised floor dimensions are accurate. Otherwise, I LUUUV it!

Get one, it's as good as tents get.

We use this for two of my kids when backpacking. Very reasonable weight when split between two people. If you want to still be in one tent as your kid gets older, though, a 3p tent may be a little tight.

Looking for suggestions (both positive and negative) on 3 person 3 season back packing tents. Husband and I have a little person who can do the miles, just not alone sleeping and can't for a while yet. It would be nice to carry 1 shelter instead of 2. My husband is hesitant on anything too fragile (aforementioned little person) so maybe no dyneema? I would like to go ultra cool and go for the tents that use trekking poles instead of traditional tent poles, but it's not a requirement. I would prefer a netted interior due to its being out and about during hatch season. There's a few out there that I like the idea of, but would like some user feedback. Thanks!!!!

Suggestions on 3 person light ish tents

  Customer service is not on par with the price of this equipment. The company has no ability to replace zipper assemblies (the tents are made in China) and the best they could offer was a partial credit towards purchase of a new tent. Guess I'm spoiled by Patagonia's lifetime warranty on their products, where they replace or repair any of their items at no cost.

Great Design but Very Fragile

 Sleeping bag -- If I had no other items to improve, I'd buy a quilt, but I don't think I'll have the money left over for it. Bear Spray -- I am  more calm and enjoy the trip a lot more when I have the bear spray.

**Non-negotiable Items:**. Tent -- I recently got the Copper Spur HV UL2 as an upgrade from a 6lb camping tent and would rather spend money elsewhere. Sleeping bag -- If I had no other items to improve, I'd buy a quilt, but I don't think I'll have the money left over for it. Bear Spray -- I am  more calm and enjoy the trip a lot more when I have the bear spray

 If you go with their included sheet of polycryo then that adds 3.65 ounces. Currently the price of the two is 375 dollars, and if you opt in on their polycryo sheet, then as I mentioned before, that's an additional eleven dollars. Honestly, for a lightweight shelter, a tent under two pounds that is a two-person shelter and is made out of nylon, this is a very reasonable price

 I'm sure most people will use the stuff sack and use the stakes that it comes with, but some people like to shave off a little weight by using more lightweight tent stakes. Some people might not use the stuff sack, so I like to know that bare bones weight, but if you take all of the other stuff that is included with this tent, then that tacks on an additional four ounces also because this is a nylon tent and it is recommended that you have a ground cloth. If you go with their included sheet of polycryo then that adds 3.65 ounces

 But then if you look at the instructions for setting up The shelter, it mentions that the floor is 15 denier nylon. My guess is that the chart is just a typo and that the floor actually is made with 15 denier nylon and the body tendineae nylon. just because typically a shelter will have a beefier fabric on the floor because it's going to see more abrasion than the top of the shelter. Unfortunately, I can't really tell a difference from feeling the body and the floor, so if somebody knows for sure, just let us know

 Unfortunately, I didn't find it in the tent bag with everything else but the first time that I set up this tent was on trail in the dark, so I think I probably ended up dropping it at the campsite and not noticing when I packed up the next morning. But I ended up using one of the additional tie outs as a makeshift clothesline anyway just to test out the function. The weight of the two, as far as the shelter itself with already attached guidelines, is 23.5 ounces

Hoping to get some input on cheap fixes I can make to drop some weight! On my last trip I got below 29lb with food &amp; water for the first time (my 3 season sleeping bag is heavier than the one I use over the summer), and even with that I noticed the difference.
