 The double edge blades make it a lot less expensive ($0.30 or less per blade) to use a new sharp blade every time I shave. The handle is longer than some less expensive models making it easier to hold and shave with. The style and design is quite soffisticated and contemporary for a safety razor

I do not need to use the other products included in the shave system. While I am disappointed that in my youth I threw away the safety razors that had been given to me for the twin blade dosposables; I am a new fan of safety razors. Best Razor for Men - GearLab

 Overall, I enjoyed this shaving experience as it was definitely more nostalgic with the razor blades and the different products for my face both pre-and post shave. I really liked the weight of the razor itself as I found that it was very easy to get a very smooth shave. What I wasn't a fan of was how slick the razor got when it ( my hands) got wet. Am thinking as much as the smooth and sleek silver design is very cool, it was very slippery and perhaps some type of contoured handle would be in order

I agreed to provide an unbiased review of this razor in exchange for the free sample of this Bevel Razor. This is a bit tricky as there were some features that I liked and some I didn't. Nostalgic Shaving System

 This has been my default shaving method for most of my adult life. Also this is a review of the Bevel razor, not their blades, brushes, cream, or system. I thought the razor was marketing hype and that all safety razors are essentially the same. I've been using an Edwin Jagger DE89 for over a decade

 The Bevel blades are mediocre and dull quickly, I'm using Gillette Blues in it instead. The Bevel brand DE blades are overpriced for what they are, just regular DE blades, nothing special. I think a lot of the positive reviews here are from people moving from cartridge shaving to wet shaving with a DE safety razor, and it is superior. There isn't anything special about Bevel compared to other DE safety razors

 I took the razor blade from my current Jagger and put it in the Bevel. I immediately noticed that the shave was closer, and yet there was more skin left on my face (less razor burn). I was amazed that it was noticeably more precise and comfortable. I needed fewer passes to shave myself

 Most safety razors have squared off sides with a bit of the unsharpened blade edge exposed, so it's easier to pick up and change the blade. The handle is also skinny and slick. Once again, very easy to drop, hard to keep a grip. For something that will always be held with wet soapy hands, this is a terrible design

Almost Perfect, Flaws Are Very Serious Though

Still finding the best blade to pair with the razor. It’s great for any one that gets irritation from shaving and provides a pretty smooth shave. The best part is probably the long handle.

Lovely Razor

-I am happy with the new price point, it is a simple, theraputic and worthwhile investment for your face. -The product is beautiful, well weighted and most important: the single razor works very simply -I found shaving to less mysterious of a process than I thought -It's important for the user to know the grain of their facial hair, and to shave with it, if not, irritation will occur as I found -I found it not at easy to shave longer beard hair, I am novice and may not have good technique, but I found it to function as intended on a shaved beards 1-2 weeks old. I apologize if I'm stating the obvious.

Enjoyable First Experience

I’ve suffered pretty badly from razor bumps for the past few years, and I’ve tried dozens of multi blade and double edged razors before. I may not understand the science behind it, but switching over to the Bevel DE razor has done wonders for my skin in terms of minimizing irritation and skin discolouration due to said irritation.

 They look the same But I'm telling you Spend the extra money and you'll have a razor for a life that you love Treat it good. Make sure every time you use a wipe it down. It is, you know chrome But this to me is one of my favorite razors Once you get done using it Wipe it off put it in a garage treat it good like you would your sports car and This thing will perform endlessly for you now as far as blades All you do is you just Lift up the top the blade sits right here. Okay I'll put this back on to show you just snaps into place one of these sides has an indent and One of the sides is like flush So literally just lift it off Right here and That blade will be sitting on top So right there I've got an Astra green right now in SP So there's a spring in here and that just keeps it so it's easy to put on Put off clicks in place simple Amazing engineering amazing razor

 That's a sharp blade if you try to Twist this with wet hands during a shave and your finger slit. They're gonna go right through that blade Okay, I've shaved very many times with this I'm very comfortable with it and it's happened to me one time once that's it Because I just thought oh, yeah, I know this thing but Aside from that when you adjust it be very careful And adjust it with dry hands, okay, just be aware of that blade. So you have this blade gap Right here and Adjust it up Show you on setting six how much Blade gap there is those channels in between that are going to make sure That there's plenty of room for the whiskers to go and it just slices them off your face and You know the shaving cream You know shave soap lather, whatever that's gonna just flow right out that channel So easily But yeah, setting six, there's nothing that'll this thing won't cut I mean, I have no question if I was to just Take this here one pass it wipe right off Setting one It'll do more than you think it will do on setting one. I promise you that So it's a great place to start And it will give you everything you ever need in between It's made in Germany

 So this is the chrome version. This is the Merkur future and Let me just give you some really up-close Views here It is weighted very nice where it indents. That's where the center of balance is on this razor This razor is very weighty. Okay, it is Definitely on the hefty side for razors So if you do not like hefty razors, this is not the razor for you However, if you're like me you love them So what this razor is besides sexy sleek smooth is a Fantastic shaver and a lot of that is in part to the weight of the razor

The Ultimate Merkur Futur Razor Review !!! - YouTube

 I'm back with a video review and this time I'm looking at the Merkur Future Adjustable Safety Razor. This is an absolutely wonderful razor, let's get right to it. This is a heavy weight razor, this is probably one of the heaviest razors I have in my collection now, really, really very heavy, very substantial, built like a tank, yet it's very well balanced. When you hold it in the indentation handle area right here, this little indentation handle, when you hold it in there, it just feels right in the hand, really, really very, very nice

 Highly chromed to a mirror polish, absolutely beautiful, and it's got this space age razor head and cap here that really is very, very efficient and does a great job in giving you a terrific, terrific shape. Also has an adjustment right here on the collar, you can see right there I have it set to one and the way you adjust it is just by holding the ends of the razor cap here and then, see if I can get that in focus, holding the ends of the razor cap here and just turning the handle so you can turn it up and really turn up the aggression of your shave. So there I'm at four right now. And it does a terrific job, if I turn it all the way up to six, you can see how big that blade gap has gotten, and then of course turn it back down

Honestly, it's because wet shaving is amazing not only do you get a better shave by using an actual razor blade in this guy here I'll show you how you put the razor blade in there But not only do you get a better shave using one of these guys than you would with one of those little Gillette monstrosities or a You know an electric razor, but it's way way cheaper too like by a huge freaking margin We'll talk about that in a little bit here, but um the wet shaving is just amazing And if you aren't shaving with one of these guys yet, you're doing it wrong And you need to be so there you go And then finally want to make this a quick review because there's not that much to say about it And yeah, so anyways let's go ahead and talk about what's good about this guy, and what's not so good about this guy First off on the good side. It does shave very well I mean given that's partly a function of the blade itself I tend to use feather blades which are really obscenely sharp But some people are more comfortable with a slightly less sharp blade than the feathers are Um the feathers will cut you open the first time you use it be careful about that But nonetheless no matter the blade you're using this shaves very well Um absolutely no doubt this can give you a very very very nice shave absolutely 100% Next thing this little gap under here.  The adjustability is one of those things that is helpful very briefly But then you'll find yourself settling in And it can't be carried onto a plane like any double-edged razor final conclusions. Look, this is a fine razor I mean it works fine and I I did shave with it for a long time. It works. Well, it's it's good It's solid
