I spent a lot of time, in fact. For the first time ever (literally), I bought a color calibration tool and used it with a professional providing guidance to ensure I correctly followed each step. Not even the color calibrator is able to make Dell 27" Gaming Monitor S2721DGF color-accurate! Not for work, not for gaming, not for casual activities. There is no height, no angle, no setting that resolves my issue

This monitor is the best for any FPS out there. My one complaint is the tradeoffs of moving to a 240hz monitor. It's just the nature of current technology and it is nothing the brand can change. The main one being resolution

4k was not an option because of cost and lack of HDMI 2.1. so I went on 1440p. Next I found a big issue with current monitor and console

Additionally, there are effects that I think flicker faster - or become more noisy - with a higher refresh rate. Things like dithering and pixel inversion. Overall, I guess 240hz isn't a go for me, and finding a concrete answer seems difficult. Some of these issues could be related to sitting too close, and perhaps the main culprit lies with the PWM/strobe that, due to it, I can't really decide quickly if direct current dimming LED is as smooth and stable as other more softer glowing light sources that the effects are maybe compounding with each other along with grainy coatings and uniformity issues, as well as lack of perfect viewing angle, which I now believe provides additive pixel sharpness and eye comfort for LCDs along with a lighter and glossier coating

Personally, I'd prefer the fast response times over deep blacks, but those that game mostly in the dark might be put off by the contrast and also IPS ...

I have no idea why when companies label "gaming", it become flash and kiddo looking. This zowie one has more mature looking, still there are some "gaming" details. Pros: 240hz, not so flashy design, okay color output. Cons: None

So just wanted to see if it'll be better, and it's not, but if you're in the market for a new 240hz panel, maybe give it a swing. I'm not the most educated on panel refresh-rate, gsync, blah blah all that jazz, but take a look at Blur Busters for more info. To me though this just doesn't feel as smooth and responsive as my old one.

The panel I got did not have any major backlight bleed. There was a bit of a noticeable IPS glow in the bottom left corner, but it was not any worse than other IPS panels that I've seen. A manager from J-Tech Digital reached out to me and offered to refund the restocking fee, which was greatly appreciated and resolves all of the issues I had with my return
