This was a “renew” product. First few days was full of challenges. Mind you I have had a Nook for YEARS until I switched to the app on my iPad. Batter lasts only 8 hours at most

 Once the seller realize I wanted to return, they stopped responding to my emails. So it’s packed away, nice and safe and I’ve gone back to the app. Beware the buyer.

Hard to read, cannot purchase books directly which is why I bought it.

What's up with this battery life ???? It's only lasting maybe five hours on a full charge. Yes,that's constant reading but my original nook would last got days I could read constantly ten to twelve hours and not get low battery notification.

The only thing good about this product is how cheap it is and that is exactly what you pay for good battery life (don’t really know didn’t use it for more than an hour) decent size screen that flickers every time you change the page I don’t think I’ve been more disappointed by a product in my life you’re better off reading on your phone a kindle or just going out and spending $300 for an iPad

 You can jump to those parts of your book Wherever you had your highlights entered before so another thing you can do is if you like pinch zoom on an image It will enter this like image zooming window I mean it doesn't work smoothly at all But you can zoom in on the image if you wanted to like if you map close it up or something like that So you can zoom in on the images using the pinching gesture So that pretty much covers the reading features on the nook glow light plus again It's pretty much just a larger version of the glow light 3 here with the larger 7.8 inch screen They both have 300 PPI both have adjustable front lights and 8 gigabytes of storage space same processor So a lot of overlap here You're just basically getting a larger screen and audio support on the newer nook Although the auto support is extremely limited So I'm gonna go ahead and wrap up this video check out the ebook reader comm for the full review. 7.8" Nook Glowlight Plus Review - 2019 Nook

 Hey, how's it going everyone? I'm Nathan with the ebook reader calm

 So I got the nook glow light plus for this review. This is the 7.8 inch version

 They already use that name for a previous nook. I guess they're gonna reuse it for this nook

 It's basically the exact same as the glow light 3 except. It's got the larger 7.8 inch eating screen

 It's got the same similar design as the nook except for the bezels are a little bit smaller than on the glow light 3

 So got the page buttons. You got the power button on top. They added a headphone jack to this model

 It also has bluetooth, but you're gonna only be able to use those for BNN podcast

 One would assume they'd add audiobooks support eventually, but so far not so here it is next to the 6 inch

 Glow light 3 which is still available as you can see they're like 90% the same

 They're just like a little bit bigger with the new 7.8 inch nook and they've got the the side bells. There's a little bit smaller

 This one also had the nook glow light 3 also has a infrared touch screen

 This one has a capacitive touch screen as you can see much less indentation in the screen

 But the text isn't quite as sharp and clear as it is with the infrared touch screen. So you got the

 Frontlight adjustment on the glow light plus here. You got the warm color and you've got the cool color

 You can adjust it here manually. You can also set it up in settings to adjust

 So overall the front light does look pretty good

 But with nooks usually you have a little bit more shadowy area for whatever reason

 This one is no exception. You get a little bit more shadowy area along the top where the front lights are located

 This is the home screen lays out your recently read and you also got some recommended reading

 You can also switch over to the library view

 So you're not actually getting any more content on the screen with the larger nook here. They're just scaling everything up

 You can also use the page buttons here to scan through your library if you wanted to use those

 There's list view and cover view although oddly

 You got a couple of different sorting options title

 Recently and author and then you've got the different content types

 So you got like your book section magazines. You can view everything at once and then you got the my files list

 So this is the biggest problem with nooks

 They just have issues loading side loaded content on Windows

 I couldn't get any content to show up on here and then it got corrupted

 Now my computer won't even recognize it other people seem to have no problem using caliber

 I don't know, but I've had nothing but problems trying to get content loaded on this nook

 So I gave up and just decided to show you guys

 BnN's content so shelves you can organize your contents with shells

 Definitely don't do it with side loaded content if you manage to get side loaded content on here. It'll corrupt everything

 Yeah, not so good with side loaded content, but with nook books. I mean, it's a fair device. You got some different

 Options here in settings. So like the storage on this device is 8 gigabytes. So you get like 6 gigabytes usable

 They don't have that side loaded partition anymore. They got rid of that with the last model

 But so it just comes with the 6 gigabytes basically usable

 You've also got some other things in settings here a couple basic options

 You got like the screen setting here where you can change the screen timeout. You can also adjust the page button

 The page buttons with the top button going page forward bottom button going back. You can reverse those if you want

 Further adjustment here for the glow light

 like I was saying you can set it to use the auto option where it will automatically change the light add more of the

 You can also hold the nook button to turn the front light on and off if you just tap the nook button

 It'll take you to this home screen here. Of course, you got the Barnes and Noble bookstore included on the device

 You can shop for your ebooks through the Barnes and Noble store

 It's not exactly the fastest loading store, but you know, I mean eventually it'll load here

 Just sort of thing where you can get like synapses of books and they are trying to advertise stuff. Basically, I don't know

 I never use it. So I mean as far as nook books go the reading features are pretty good
