So when it comes to umbrellas, I always thought you had to make a choice: either a big golf umbrella for quality (but a lack of portability, plus it's expensive), or a smaller one for an on-the-go lifestyle (cheap, and cheaply made). So color me pleasantly shocked with this umbrella from Balios.  For starters, when I opened the box, I was happy to see that it was a decent weight.

 Then I saw the handle. Yes, the style is nice (though style doesn't really make me purchase an umbrella, per se), but the ergonomic grip was fabulous. My hand felt like it belonged there, and that it would be easier to hold should conditions be more blustery than an average rain shower.  The first time I pushed the button, it opened effortlessly, and I was really surprised to see a vented canopy, like you'd see in much bigger (and much more expensive) umbrellas

The Best Travel Umbrella I've Used...

 I has a very luxurious feel to it. Couple that with thicker ribs and you have a sturdy umbrella.  The second feature was the double canopy to provide a wind proof experience that should in theory prevent this umbrella from turning inside out like my last one. Although I have used it int he rain and it rolled off like water off a ducks back, I haven't used it in high wind yet

 This one is like a heavy duty tactical umbrella. The quality is apparent and the materials make it feel like high end. I am sure it will last for many years. I will update after testing it in the wind

 Nice feature. The handle has a nice soft rubber texture with knuckle grooves to make it ergonomic and comfy. It is not a tiny nub of a handle like some compact umbrellas, but yet not too big so the umbrella is still compact. Very comfortable to hold

I'm constantly looking for "unflippable" umbrellas. I'm tired of cheap umbrellas being completely ruined the first time a wind gust comes. I usually go for the Gustbuster, but I was disappointed in the quality of my last GustBuster so I tried the Balios. Not much for color/design choices

It is Ok at best. The "real wood" handle is 100% plastic, so is the "metal". Better off going with a cheaper model since it not wood or of higher quality compared to other brands.

 Take off this Styrofoam and yeah, better, stabilize things with the Kickstand. Now to lock the column into place with the X7 Pro steel latching mechanism, which is quite secure thanks to some springs inside. The latch snaps back easily and is quite simple to adjust. Just twist these handlebars in and secure with the Allen key and you're all set

 On the fastest mode, we were able to get 25 kilometers on a single charge, which is better than the 15 we achieved on the regular X7. Just note that there is no kinetic energy recovery system here, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The tires spin a bit freely without power, so you can kick the scooter manually if you run out of juice, but when you get the chance, the battery battery's removable design makes charging quite simple. The battery pack has its own charging port, so you can charge it on the go, and we were able to take it from zero to full in six hours with a bundled adapter

 There are three different modes or speeds you can use and the little led light in front is great if riding at night. There’s also a taillight in the back when you press the brake. The feature that surprised me the most? This little guy has cruise control! I’m a 220lb guy and it had enough power to tug me around at about 17 mph give or take a little depending on the incline of the road. I was hesitant at first to try it out, but I’m really glad I did!
