To that point, the Audix D6 does a pretty good job of capturing upper mids, but you may not like the particular frequency it accents. -K

I’m sharing all this information just to underline what a specific task I’ve given the Beyer, and to explain how amazingly it’s performed at it. The Beyerdynamic M201 TG was recommended to me by an engineer at a very high end classical guitar dealer, and it has absolutely solved all these problems for me. Not only can it handle an obscene amount of gain without humming or feeding back, it does so with a beautifully rich expressive sensitivity. For classical and Spanish guitar you have to be really careful with low end frequencies, and the Beyer has managed to keep them full and well-rounded even at lower settings
