 Once I finally received the stylus, it worked really well. Relatively easy to install on my head shell and good sound quality.

Good sound, awkward delivery.

Detail, soundstage, and clarity in the high range are strengths of this cartridge/stylus combo. Bass output is a bit of a weakness. That can be helped a bit if you have tone controls on your preamp or receiver. As far as comparison with popular moving magnet cartridges I own and have tried on several turntables: (in my opinion) Nagaoka MP110 < AT3600L (conical stylus) < AT95E < AT3600 with vivid line < AT-VM95SH (shibata stylus)

Is there a Needle upgrade for AT LP60x? Messed up mine this morning.

 In this case, I feel very fortunate to have chosen the AT-VM95SH.  System equipment: Custom Sterling Acoustics transmission line speakers, twin Dynaco ST-70 amp w/VTA mods vertically bi-amped in triode mode, Lazarus Cascade Basic Preamp, Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB w/VM95SH, Denon DCM-440 CD player w/Toppings E30 DAC.

 The AT-VM95SH sounded clearer, more open, and livelier to me than the Rainier, but I'd really prefer to do the comparison again on my own system, as it's a much more transparent, revealing system, not to mention that I'm more familiar with it. In past years, I've also owned cartridges from Shure, Signet, Talisman, and a Grado Signature 8. Some of those were really good, but I prefer the VM95SH over all of them.  In summary

  For a comparison, I took the AT-VM95SH and headshell over to my son's house to hear it next to his new Sumiko Rainier. He's got a new Denon receiver and a recently serviced vintage Pioneer PL-A450 turntable hooked to a pair of JM Labs Chorus 715 speakers. The AT-VM95SH sounded clearer, more open, and livelier to me than the Rainier, but I'd really prefer to do the comparison again on my own system, as it's a much more transparent, revealing system, not to mention that I'm more familiar with it. A "No Brainer" Near This Price Point

 There is absolutely zero exaggeration in the treble as with some AT cartridges, and the VM95SH is as quiet as any I've ever owned. The 95SH is a champ at placing instruments in a wide and deep soundstage. Detail is everywhere but never sounds exaggerated or unpleasant. This cartridge is as pleasingly neutral as I can imagine without sounding the least bit cold or clinical

 If I didn't like it I still had the Nagaoko. Wow! I mounted this (hooray for a simple captive bolt-on system) on my Music Hall mmf 2.3 and was almost immediately floored. Knotscott and other reviewers have done a great job reporting the sound of this AT

Percussion is tight and crisp, voices, guitar and piano are rendered clean and clear, and treble is sweetly detailed

This is a much more sophisticated stand-up from its predecessor. Obviously people have found that we really like the nag carts and so that's one of the reasons that we go with these. These are going to be a lot more pricey than some of like your standard cartridges but at this time let me go ahead and we'll do a quick audio comparison

 It's much deeper, the dynamics are far more extended, stronger mid-range which provides more coherent like vibrant sounds for sure, greater separation compared to the predecessor of the 110. You know at some point I will do a comparison between the 110 and the 150 because I mean I can tell you guys for sure that the 110 is definitely still a really great cartridge but yeah the 150 really seems so far anyway to really be living up to its to its name in the example you know. You know is it worth $300? You know I think that I think that if you are more serious about you know vinyl records and listening to your music and getting the best experience that you possibly can I think that there is something to be said for the 150 in comparison to other you know cartridges. I think that especially if you you know have the means of being able to get one of these I think that it can be a significantly better upgrade

 Yeah it's a really great cartridge and I hope that you guys have enjoyed this this quick review and at some point here really soon I'm gonna have some stylus drops done of this new cartridge that's providing hopefully better audio quality and sound to the channel. A Quick Review: Nagaoka MP-150 Phono Cartridge

 Hey everyone, it's Chad with CJ's Vinyl and today I'm bringing you another quick

 review of the next upgrade in our audio file setup. It's the Nagaoka MP-150

 moving permaloy cartridge and in this is the just the cartridge itself actually

 was the purchase for this. I had an Extra Techniques head shell that I've

 attached it to but the packaging for this from Nagaoka you would expect is

 quite nice. We have the instructions back here along with there's a set of small

 screws and a screwdriver that they include inside of this package. This is

 actually quite nicely put together but this is the packaging that it comes in

 for the cartridge and as mentioned before unlike the other one we do not

 have the Nagaoka cartridge or the head shell for this one. This is the Techniques

 head shell that I had. A few quick specs would be the output voltage is 4.5

 mils. Channel separation is 24 decibels. Stylus tip is another standard mil

 elliptical diamond. Recommended tracking force is 1.5 to 2 grams. Cartridge weight

 is six and a half grams but adding the Nagaoka head shell would be an

 additional 9.5 making it 16. I can't tell you how much it is with the Techniques

 head shell but I can certainly say that being an aluminum head shell and then

 the spacer that's put in here is also aluminum as well so that's going to add

 extra weight. If you're just getting into vinyl I don't know if the price tag of

 this is something that's going to be very appealing unless you really have a

 lot more money to invest. The price tag of the 150 comes in at around $300 so
