I’m using a Audio technica Lpw40wn and it’s performance for such a cheap turntable is pretty astounding. I’ve been happy for the few months I’ve been into this.

Modern/Vintage setup is finally complete

 Maybe the only thing that needed more guidance was the balancing of the tone arm and the anti-skate. Everything else was straightforward. I was able to do all this with just the manual. Keep in mind, this is the first time I've ever set up a TT

 There's not enough space to add that, it would have been nice to not have to rush back to lift the tone arm once a record is done playing. But you kind of know that going into this purchase that this is a fully manual turntable, can't really complain.  My current setup is AT-LPW40WN, iFi Zen Phono, Edifier R1280DBs.  As a first time TT owner, I'd have to say the decision process was the hardest part

 Pro-Ject TTs were on the top of my list, however the price, while I can afford it, do I really want to spend that much on my first go at this hobby? My wife would've probably killed me. We're down to Drop+AT VTA. I was ready to buy one, however they increased the price overnight to $400. While I liked the entire package, I didn't appreciate the price increase

 So called "audiophiles" would explode hearing that. But they're not really the clientele this TT is going after. At this price point, there's a lot of value here in terms of sound, looks, specs and functionality. The AT-LPW40WN is a nice turntable that is not too entry level, and has some room (not a lot) of upgradeability for people to tinker with in the future, such as, different VM95 series cartridge, mats, stabilizers

My first turntable and I'm glad I went with this

 A better value is the [Fluance RT82](https://www.fluance.com/rt82t-reference-high-fidelity-vinyl-turntable-black-gloss) $299 that adds auto stop. Pass on the older RT80 and RT81 that lack the new speed sensor that the RT82 has for low wow and flutter and low speed variation

I’m torn between these two turntables because I love the aesthetic of  AT-LPW40WN however the AT-LP60XBT is a great deal for its price. Anyone have experience with these models and advice? Appreciate it!

HELP: choosing between AT-LPW40WN and AT-LP60XBT

 Long story short I got the player, super easy to set up just be sure to read instructions if you have never set up a tone arm, level the machine out , pair it with awesome speakers and drop the needle. The cart it come with is good and sounds good but I feel I will eventually pair a orange technica cart on it.  I have edifier BT speakers hooked up to it and man they put out some serious sound, I believe they are 60 watt ones.  Anyways I’ve owned this player for roughly 6 months now I think

This turntable works exactly as described. It has no manual speed adjustment, but the internal sensor makes that unnecessary. I tested the unit, and the speed is dead on. I wish the unit had USB output, but I knew it was not present when I purchased the turntable

I think I have a pretty good ear for detail though

After buying a new house and wanting an amp that had Bluetooth streaming capabilities, I decided to finally upgrade my modest setup. Went from Audio Engine A5 to these ELAC Debut References with LS 30 Speaker stands, added the Cambridge Audio CXA81, and upgraded my cartridge from the Ortofon 2m red to black. The turnatable is a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon and the Phono is a Graham Slee Communicator Gram Amp 2. 

First off let me say that Im not very knowledgeable about sound equipment and buy most my stuff on reviews and affordability. WhatHifi guided my decision making for the new speakers and amp. I think I have a pretty good ear for detail though.

3-4 years ago when I had my first setup, I was impressed how good music could sound over regular Bluetooth speakers. But this new amp and speaker combo is incredible! I'm hearing things I couldn't before and even my wife who couldnt care less about equipment was blown away. The first song I streamed (Frank Ocean - White Ferrari), I had no idea Bluetooth could sound so rich and deep. I cannot recommend the Cambridge Audio CXA81 enough, the build quality is like nothing I've had the pleasure of touching. The 2m black was installed a day or two after and I have to be completely honest, I haven't noticed such a significant difference that I can say it's worth the $500 (open box special price)

I should add another disclaimer: I haven't listened to my system above a volume that would require you to raise your voice, so I suppose I can't truly judge the 2m black.

At this point, I don't know why I would upgrade any further. I'm pretty sastified with everything and the sound is amazing. If anyone has feedback on the 2M black, please share. Everything Ive read said it's supposed to be levels above the red in detail.

Great looking setup! The stands look similar to the ones we use from Kanto with a smaller base.  I've reviewed both the ELACs and the Cambridge piece on my YT channel but haven't heard the Audio Engine' speakers yet.

New house, new components.

 It gets really complex with many overdubbed tracks of guitar sax drums and vocals less expensive turntables tend to fall apart on this cut, as they just can't pull all the information out. While i've obviously heard this sound better on some much more expensive turntables, this combo did just incredibly well for the price i have to say. After about an hour of listening to the new evo with the rainier, i felt this is one heck of an easy. Listen to rig compared to more expensive tables

It is lacking a very deep bass impact and it's not as dynamic as some in the thousand to fifteen hundred dollar table price range, but geez. It'S one incredible bargain for the price

 At the same time, many cartridges fail to track this properly, resulting in some distortion. Not only did the rainier evo combo track. This fantastically surface noise was super low as well. Next i moved on to the squeeze eastside story album from 1981

PRO-JECT DEBUT EVO TURNTABLE - IS THIS THE BEST BUDGET TURNTABLE UNDER £500?

The turntable is well designed simple to use. Plays 33. 45, and 78 formats. One button to change between 33/45 speeds

 Recommend using a long nose pliers rather than fumbling with fingers. Plays and sounds great. However, found after plugging in the phono cable on the back of the player a second time, the right channel failed, then was intermittent.

Great Product, great sound, cool design, possible quality control issues.
