ASUS RT-AX3000 vs Netgear Nighthawk R7000

Just replaced my netgear r6900p with a wifi 6 asus AX3000. Flashed with merlin and happy. No crashes yet, nice and stable.

Don't spend money unless you want this for long haul, highly doubt that the prices will come down significantly. ASUS RT-AX3000 is also a good AX class router.

Now here's the silver lining, even though Netgear does not participate in their own forums (which to me is a mistake I think they should) the user base there does and several of them have been in the industry for awhile. If your the daring type and don't mind using 3rd party firmware (which Netgear themselves designed this router to use) DDWRT has a solution, though not a complete one as least for the most part stable until Netgear can get past their own firmware woes. Kongs (one of DDWRT devs) ver 550 or above should work for you. Overall this is a good router, it just is not ready until the firmware can get past all these bugs that it was marketed with, and silence from Netgear in their own forums does not help with their image on all the issues much at all
