My router does not advertise MU-MIMO actually. I feel like it's got to do with the router, as the US version of the same router does advertise MU-MIMO and OFDMA together while this one does not. So am I getting the expected speeds, or have I been scammed by TP-Link?

I have had this quite a few weeks now, I have had it go offline quite a few times. It has had a firmware release at least once and I have updated it. It seems like a double webpage request back to back can crash something in it sometimes. My initial setup: I had picked this up to only run three devices it on it, my phone, quest 2 (wireless side) and my pc hardwired

**Backup your smart home device settings and routines BEFORE taking your old router offline. This includes Alexa devices and plugs, bulbs, etc.** If you are not willing to do this then DO NOT REPLACE YOUR ROUTER. I've had a rock solid network using RT-AC68W for the last 4 years or so

Also, do not enable “QoS”. I have both networks set to wpa3 encryption. These settings now allow me to routinely get speeds of 230+mbps on my 200mbps service from Comcast.

Cost efficiency: $225 a router to extend the wifi range. Of course I get to hard-wired with many devices and probably get better speed. Installation: I thought all I have to do is just swap out the old router. But it still took me almost three hours to finish the whole setup

I wish it was 60 dollars new. An old Ubiquiti AC access point has more range than this thing. Wish it had a repeater mode like the wifi 4 models

I was fine with our old Linksys that died after this time frame but hell is was 60 bucks 🤦‍♂️. Don't buy this router get a Netgear or hell any router would be a better investment.

I went to the Amazon/Australia site and there are several AC1200 routers from major brands like TP-Link & Tenda (as well as some I've never heard of that I would avoid) for $70-$130 if cost is sensitive for you right now. I personally think TP-Link routers offer the best bang for the buck - they're reliable, perform well, are competitively priced vs. the competition, and have current security protocols in place. It's also a very established brand
