 Why not? Let'S just grab it because compatible with um, ryzen, first generation second generation and also it's compatible with third generation, but to use third generation cpus. You got ta update the bios and that's it so yeah. You can change the reflective stickers on the pch. You also get this along with the motherboard, so you can have it more of a stealth kind of look or if you don't like the reflective stickers, it still has a reflective stick as well

 It'S quickly going to show you what's on the box, as you can see, um by amd um, it's vr ready, um, azus ronstrix is kind of taking off right now, um. They basically have built these motherboards for overclocking for gamers. This is going for around about 100 pounds in the uk on amazon, so i'll put a link in the description. If you want to buy that and i'm sure it's hundred dollars in the us as well so i'll put that in the description box

 Another point deducted for no M.2 heat shields or chipset fans. I have not worked with the included audio chip, I have an external audio interface so I dont have a use for it, I cannot comment on the audio quality. A plus is this Mobo supports resizable bar with newer GPUs

 Auto overclock features are alright but nothing to write home about, manual overclocks, or using PBO is recomended instead. There is a bit of bloat with the software. I would recomend only installing AI suite III to control fans, and then using openRGB to cut down on services and tasts running the background with Armoury Crate being installed instead.Thats my review, most of these are really nitpicky issues and would be things you would find in a more premium motherboard

I do understand this is a budget mobo and also of last generation. Hope this helps!

 Also that is one other thing I dont like about this Motherboard, there is no real hardware sensors regarding the VRMs, temperature, power/current delivery etc, is missing from HWinfo64. No PCIe 4 support but this is an older motherboard and PCIe4 has yet to show any noticible improvements with current hardware. Another point deducted for no M.2 heat shields or chipset fans

A good budget Mobo, just know what you're getting.

 How good this board is for the money for a hundred and twenty pounds. It'S not going to matter whether you put the 2700 X in it, which is what I did and absolutely dressed the bejesus out of it. But if you were to put one of the six calls in or even a quad core in, you are literally getting pretty much an epic little platform to start building the ring on this is a budget bargain like absolutely epic, I'm saying too much nice stuff and That annoys me and I always have to go careful when I say nice stuff about Asus boards, but in all honesty we can recap it with this one sentence: you get too much performance and too much good, looking board for a hundred and twenty quid with this. It'S probably one of the best boards that they popped out for this now actually is the best board they've popped out at this price range for a long time

..Go with the MSI B450 Tomahawk or Pro Carbon if you want to obtain the highest budget B450 OC's possible. And don't believe the paid shill YouTube reviewers who are saying this MB is the best, because it's DEFINITELY not

 So a total of 6 fans & I still have problems keeping the VRM cool. I pretty much have to turn down my house heater to 65F if I want my CPU/VRM to stay below 80C when stress testing for stability.  Highest 100% stable OC I'm able to pull off with this VRM is 4 GHz CPU & 3000 mhz RAM. I can easily crank it up to 4

2GHz cpu / 3200 mhz ram for benchmarking but my pc isn't totally stable at those speeds and eventually will black screen on me. No problems at 4k/3k though.  A few simple changes (like an actual VRM heatsink) would have made a huge difference here.  I HATE saying this but

Running this MB with a Ryzen 5 2600, GAMMAXX 400 tower cooler, Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz 16gb RAM in a Corsair Carbide 100R Mid-Tower case with 4 total case fans. Went with the push, pull configuration on the tower cooler using the provided RGB fan for pushing and a Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700rpm fan for pulling. The specification of the memory in megahertz, so now this top side around about 4400 megahertz, which for a b450 board, is pretty awesome. Flashback on there, which kind of i don't understand fully now, i understand what it's used for. Obviously, we've done videos on it previously, which you can check out many of the links up here, but for a board which actually comes straight out of the gate, with ryzen 5000 series ready

 The proper old-fashioned, color connections on there. So you know which one is which so you've got option for rear center and sub speaker microphone in line out and also line in, and for those of you that want to use this in the media center or with the frame system. There'S also a speed effect. Also so, overall, a pretty decent feature set, considering it is a b450 chipset

 And you want a new board which has got a lot of features. But maybe isn't cutting edge technology, then i think this works out very, very well and, to be honest, i'll, be really interested to see what you think this at the moment, like i said, is number one on amazon and there must be a reason for it. So let me know in the comments what you think of it, i'm genuinely interested to know so anyway, i think that's going to pretty much wrap this one up.   He brought the build back to me, and I tested the board with two different working power supplies and it would receive no power. I also tested his power supply with a PSU tester and another motherboard and had no issues getting power from that PSU.  He did not want to wait for the RMA process for a new board, so we ordered another one of the same exact model to avoid Windows reinstall. After installing the new board, everything seems to be good for now

Solid board if it continues to work...

 Booted up, got the BIOS flash screen, pressed F2 and got the page telling me to press F1 and it hung up again.. ASUS recommended to remove everything from the mb except the CPU, it's fan and the ATX connections from the power supply to the mb. Had to use a graphics card to see it boot to the BIOS splash screen, pressed F2 and then F1 and hung up

 I've searched the Internet, ASUS, etc and nothing works!!  Update - In researching I found references to doing a build outside of the case so I took everything out and used the Amazon cardboard box the mb came in as a test bench. The mb had the Ryzen 5 2600x with its CPU fan, 8 GBs of DDR4 2400 ram, an MSI graphics card, a 500 GB SSD and the USB dongle for the keyboard/mouse. I get the same as in the case. On the screen I see the mb firmware is at version 4204, the bios shows the 8 GBs of ram, the USB keyboard/mouse and the 500 GB SSD

Rog Strix B450-f Gaming II hangs at BIOS splash screen!!

 I would not normally give a negative review for a single bad product because things happen and sometimes you just get a dud, but when the replacement part has the same problem, that's when I have to take note.  After working fine for a few days, the system powered down and would not power back up afterwords. The LED ROG logo on the io shield simply sat there and blinked at me when I turned on the PSU. This same issue happened with the replacement board, within again, a few days of it working fine

 Obviously, we've discussed all of the features, but as always, it's kind of down to you whether you want to pay that or not. There are certainly a lot cheaper boards from MSI's own B660 lineup and I'm sure their competitors are going to offer similarly priced competitors as well. I don't have the prices to those boards. My recommendation is that if you have quite slow DDR4 memory, low capacity or whatever, and you just kind of want to jump whole hog into DDR5 land and Alder Lake, then this is an excellent board to go with

 This claims MSI will help provide more stable power delivery. The board, though, will work just fine with a single connector, as we've discussed in our i5-12400 coverage. The 80W, the load we managed to get the CPU to draw when running a tortuous average workload of rendering and other work simultaneously is going to be amply supplied by a single connector. But if your power supply does support the additional connector, it's a nice feature to have, I suppose

 I must say that I have found Older Lake rather fun to review, and quite frankly, for the testing, the LGA 1700 platform has turned out to be pretty impressive. Sticking with my opinions for the board, as that's what I'm predominantly reviewing in this video, I've not had any problems with the Mag B660. It's had no crashes, no strange behaviour and nothing hinky. Which, it doesn't sound like a big deal, but the number of boards that I've been sent or tested around launch window and they've been like, just really weird behaviour is, well, it's been a thing

 That does leave you a question, should you go with the DDR4 version of the board? I was given prices pretty much last minute that this board is going to be retailing UK prices. I don't have USD, unfortunately, but it's of course going to be converted to pretty much what you would expect. The GBP price is £210, that is including that. And yeah, this is of course a higher end premium mid-range board and there are additional layers on the board
